The room was okay, just a bit too small for the three of us. I didn't get a good night's sleep any day, and my daughter threw up all four nights. It's a shame there was no bathtub. The breakfast was really good; we had it all four mornings. The gym on the top floor was great, but I was too busy each day to use it. The room was cleaned daily, but it wasn't spotless. That said, I wouldn't say there were any major problems – it was still pretty good overall. The subway station was a bit of a walk, but acceptable. Since I was with my dad and daughter, pushing a stroller made it a bit more inconvenient. I was very satisfied with the breakfast. The worst part was how cold Korea was; I came back with a cold.

My stay at Shilla Stay Mapo during this Seoul trip completely exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it! The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Gongdeok subway station, making transfers between multiple lines incredibly convenient. Getting to popular areas like Hongdae and Myeongdong is a breeze. Plus, with convenience stores and restaurants right downstairs, all your dining and entertainment needs are easily met.

Honestly i read many not great reviews about this hotel but went i am actually here it is not bad at all! The room size is perfect not too small not too big. Everything is clean and i had a good night sleep. 10/10 i would recommend!

1. As shown in the picture, there's an unknown stain on the bedsheet under the pillow. 2.1. The power outlets are loose; plugs keep falling out, so my phone wouldn't charge. I had to use a patch of plaster from my travel kit to hold the plug in place just to get it to charge. 2.2. The kettle was broken; the lid wouldn't open, so I could only fill it through the spout. 3. The sign indicating a charge for toothbrushes wasn't clear. You had to completely open the lid of the toiletries container to read 'toothbrush incurs a charge.' I'd already used the toothbrush for two days before I even noticed that statement.

The location is fantastic! It's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Gongdeuk Station, turning left. There's a 7-Eleven right next door, and a CU and an OY a few steps further. The room isn't small; two of us could lay out two suitcases on the floor and still have plenty of space. We stayed for 3 days, and they cleaned the room every day. The only downside is that it's not soundproof.
