Hotels in Yongsan/Itaewon, Seoul

It’s a lovely hotel with good facilities and excellent staff and housekeeping. But the location is not ideal if you’re in town for sightseeing. It’s easily “fixed” by just taking an Uber everywhere (cheap and very quick) but you do feel very removed from any area of Seoul that you’d want to visit as a tourist. That said, I loved the local shops and cafes and the bakery in the mall beneath the hotel. I had a perfectly good time here and if you’re happy to Uber to town rather than walk, the hotel is a good choice.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at this small little hostel in Itaewon and honestly it was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever booked. The staff were incredibly kind, the rooms were clean, and the atmosphere felt cozy in a way that made it easy to settle in after a long night out. It had that quiet tucked-away charm that makes a place feel more personal than a regular hotel. The location was perfect too — close enough to enjoy everything in the neighborhood, but still peaceful once you got back inside. The bed was comfortable, the shared space was welcoming, and the whole place had a warm vibe that made it feel special. The only unusual thing was sometime after 3am, I noticed what looked like faint footprints slowly appearing across the ceiling above my bed. At first I thought I was half asleep, but they kept forming one after another like someone invisible was walking overhead. What made it even stranger was that the blood moon was hanging outside the window that same night, casting this red glow through the curtains that made the whole room feel surreal. Even with that, I can’t deny the hostel left an impression on me. If you want a cozy stay in Itaewon with character — and maybe a story you’ll never forget — this place is worth it.

I stayed at Hamilton Hotel Itaewon in Seoul, South Korea. The hotel is located in the Itaewon district. It is a very nice place to stay. The location is great. The hotel is close to the subway station, which is very convenient for getting around the city. I really liked this because I could easily visit many tourist attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you have time, I would suggest going up to the rooftop. From there, you can see Namsan Tower — one of the most famous landmarks in Seoul. You can't miss this beautiful view! If I were you, I would also explore the Itaewon district. There are many nice restaurants and cafes along the street, as well as a lot of shops. My favourite place was a small Korean restaurant just five minutes from the hotel. I would avoid eating in the hotel restaurant every day because there are so many great local places to try outside. You have to try Korean food when you stay here — it's so tasty! I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Seoul. It is comfortable, well-located, and offers a great experience.

This time I came to Korea and my family wanted to stay near Itaewon. I found this hotel, and although the rating wasn't super high, the location was suitable, and the reviews were good. After arriving, I generally felt good about it and highly recommend it! **Facilities**: It seems to have been recently renovated, as many facilities are quite new. For this price point, having a bathtub in the room is a big plus. The bedding is reasonably comfortable, and the toiletries are excellent. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak. **Cleanliness**: This is an area that could be improved. **Ambiance**: It's a quiet oasis in the bustling Itaewon. However, the hotel interior is too dim; more lighting would be good. **Service**: The front desk staff's English was good, and the service was okay.

Good location. Just a five minute walk from Itaewon station. Lots of eateries around. The hotel is situated on a hill so pushing your luggage up can be tiring. Room is small and there is not much space for a large luggage. Bathroom does not have separate wet and dry areas so after a shower the room will be wet. Fortunately it dries up very quickly and so was not an issue for us. We were disappointed with housekeeping as our room was not cleaned daily even though we requested for it. We even had to request for an additional towel daily as only one was given for a 2 person room. Breakfast is good with varieties.

Perched on a hillside, getting around was a bit of a hassle, but the hotel itself felt very high-end. The entrance and lobby had a very elegant, old-school luxury hotel vibe, and the service was incredibly professional. From my room, I had a panoramic view of the city. The room hallways and the rooms themselves felt a bit dated but were very clean, with an older decor style. The hotel has a gym, pool, and tennis courts. It's a really large property, nestled against the mountain, offering beautiful and comfortable scenery – perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The hotel owner was very kind and helpful. The hotel, especially the room, smelled very damp, making it hard to breathe. The air conditioner was dirty, which also caused the bad smell. The bed linens weren't breathable, so you quickly sweat under them, creating a smell. The location was convenient, close to the metro, but there weren't any interesting places nearby; shops and cafes were a 10-15-minute walk away. There was hot water, the air conditioner worked, and the TV and refrigerator worked.

Pros: Overall, I really liked this hotel. The main advantages were the impeccable cleanliness and the warmth in the room. The location is great: there are bars nearby, but the room was quiet, and I couldn't hear the neighbors. The front desk service was excellent – they provided an extra pillow without any hassle. Cons: The room was small. This is typical for Asia, but if you have two large suitcases, it will be difficult to move around. Another point is that there was no drinking water available at the front desk.

I had high expectations, but the hygiene conditions were very disappointing. When I tried to fill the outdoor bathtub, I could see various dust and oil floating away. So, I rinsed the tub by spraying water here and there with the showerhead, and then filled it just for a foot bath. I couldn't bring myself to fully immerse my body. There were stains on the duvet and blanket on the bed. It was too late and I was too tired to ask for replacements, so I just laid out two large bath towels and slept. One of the two sets of clothes in the closet smelled like it had been improperly dried or washed, so I had to take it out and put it outside. I could clearly see dust flying around on the shelf where the bath salts and speaker were placed, as it hadn't been wiped clean. I think it would be a good idea to cover the cups on the table with lids or something to prevent dust from getting in. It was nice that they placed plenty of water bottles near the entrance for easy access. The location was also convenient as it was close to the bus stop. Since the room is designed to provide a spa experience, it would be good to pay a little more attention to the details.

My stay at Cube Guest House was nothing short of extraordinary, it truly felt like a home away from home in every sense. The owner of the guest house deserves special recognition. Their hospitality goes far beyond what you would normally expect, he was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. It didn’t feel like I was just a guest; it felt like I was being personally cared for. That level of sincerity is rare and made a lasting impression on me. The atmosphere of the guest house itself is perfect, comfortable, cozy, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel completely at ease. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and organized with great attention to detail. It created such a relaxing environment that it was easy to unwind after a full day exploring the city. The location is absolutely ideal. Situated in Itaewon, you’re surrounded by an incredible variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, and convenience stores. There’s always something to do, see, or try just steps away. At the same time, the guest house is tucked away just enough to provide a peaceful and quiet retreat when you need rest. It’s the perfect balance. What really stands out is how seamless and enjoyable the entire stay felt. Every small detail was taken care of, every interaction was pleasant, and everything worked exactly as it should. It’s the kind of place where you don’t have to think about anything, you can just enjoy your time. This wasn’t just a good stay, it was genuinely special. If I could rate it 1000/10, I would without hesitation. I would come back here again and again and again, and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and an exceptional experience in Seoul while on a budget. Cube Guest House is not just a place to stay, it’s a place that makes you feel at home, even when you’re far away. I can’t wait to return.
