Hotels in City Hall/Myeong-Dong, Seoul

Despite requesting a higher-floor room during booking, the initial room assigned did not meet this preference 😔. After raising the matter with the front desk staff, she was able to accommodate my request and provided a higher-floor unit 😊. I must admit that this is the best hotel I’ve stayed so far. It is more like a fully-equipped condo than a hotel — super comfortable, clean, modern and great location! It’s the kind of stay that makes you wish you booked longer.. The room had almost everything I needed and made my Seoul trip so amazing and wonderfully memorable ❤️. Would definitely stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is more of a small guesthouse, and you'll be responsible for looking after your own room. The room has its own fridge. The lights, TV, and air conditioning are all controlled by one remote. The room itself is small. The window was a bit disappointing; it opened onto a door under a transparent roof. While some daylight did get in, you couldn't tell what the weather was like outside. But it did help air out the room and let in fresh air—and mosquitoes! My shower was under the stairs, so anyone over 165 cm tall would find it uncomfortable to use. The soundproofing is poor; you can hear people in the hallway. I can't comment on noise from neighbors, as my room was between an exterior wall and the stairs. On the 3rd floor, there's a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, pots, plates, cups, and a free coffee machine. You'll also find trash bins there for sorting your own recycling, along with clean towels, napkins, etc. The location is excellent. All the main attractions are within a 2 km radius. It's about a 20-minute walk from the train station, which is convenient if you're planning day trips to nearby towns with late returns. There's a hypermarket at the train station that's open until midnight.

I usually don’t leave a review unless I have a good experience and this one was great if you’re a solo traveler. 1) Its in a great location right in the center of myeongdong st so you can easily bring back your shopping goods and not carry them 2) It’s super clean and the whole facility smells super nice, it’s nice and modern looking too 3) Pretty quite in the girls capsule I had no trouble falling asleep without earbuds and I’m a pretty light sleeper. Only can get a bit annoying if you live on the top bunk to get up and dow

I had an excellent 6-night stay at ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun. The hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of City Hall Station, Namdaemun Market, Deoksugung Palace, and many restaurants and convenience stores. It was very convenient for sightseeing and using public transportation throughout Seoul. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially by Seoul standards. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well maintained, and housekeeping did a great job every day. The in-room amenities and reliable Wi-Fi made the stay even more enjoyable. What impressed me most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They were always helpful, courteous, and willing to assist whenever needed. The hotel offers excellent value for money, combining a convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and quality service. After spending 6 nights here, I can confidently recommend ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun to both first-time visitors and returning travelers to Seoul.

Location is right beside the MyeongDong street market on top of the train station. (The reason we book this hotel is due to the location 💯) Some downside to consider! 1: Aircon is central control: it was very hot at 27Degree, the reception was not helpful. Basically just told us to deal with it. They gives my friend’ room a fan 🤣. Extremely hot during end of May. Felt like 38 Degrees. The window are locked, only able to open a small gap. Once we opened , the smell of BBQ and mosquitoes came in. 2: No amenities . No toothpaste Brush, No hot showers. No coffee tea 3: Breakfast is disappointing. Don’t waste money . Eat outside

Stay at SL Myeongdong for 3 nights. Location is quite good, in between Myeongdong and ChungMuro station (~6 mins walk). Airport bus stops for 6001 and 6015 located near the two stations. Frontdesk is efficient and friendly. Room is bright, relatively small but equipped with washing machine, dryer and a full-size fridge. Bed was comfy, but pillows were too soft. Hotel is new but the cleaning/maintenance can be better, cos some marks can be seen on the tiles. On the first night, we noticed a bit of blood stain on the side of the bedsheet, which they promptly changed after feedback. Overall a good place to stay in Seoul near Myeongdong.

The room isn't very spacious, so if you're not with someone you're very comfortable with, you might be bothered by things like toilet sounds. There's also no elevator up to the 4th floor, which I imagine would be tough if you had a suitcase. I didn't use the hotel shower since I bathed after my body scrub, but it's integrated with the toilet, so again, that might be an issue for some. However, the hotel is right next to the station! The bus stop is also close, and there were cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby, which was really convenient!

The location is excellent, right next to Lotte World, and a 10-minute walk from Myeongdong and Shinsegae. For the price, the rooms are quite large, and the newly renovated facilities are clean. The front desk has a Chinese check-in page, but the room's central control and TV only have English and Korean language options, and the TV screen mirroring kept disconnecting (I'm not sure if it was a problem with our operation). It seems their ability to accommodate Chinese guests needs improvement, but that's understandable given it's newly opened. The service attitude was still very good.

We stayed at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun for 3 days and 2 nights, and later booked another 2 days and 1 night after our staycation at Nami Island. • Front desk service: The staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage during our Nami Island trip since we had another booking at the same hotel. • Room quality: The room was clean and spacious. However, I personally didn’t like the wooden floor—it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk on without room slippers. • Location: The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and close to several subway stations. • Food options nearby: Plenty of choices, from traditional Korean BBQ to fast food like Burger King. Just note that many restaurants close around 9–10 PM. ✨ Overall: A convenient city hotel with friendly staff, good service, and easy access to major attractions. The luggage storage service was especially helpful for our trip planning.

We stayed for 4 nights and overall had a mixed experience. The hotel has a good location for exploring Seoul and the rooms are comfortable enough for a short stay. The staff were a real highlight — very friendly, helpful, and all spoke excellent English, which made communication very easy. However, housekeeping was inconsistent and cleanliness did not always meet the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. We also had issues with basic amenities not being replenished, such as shower gel. We had also expected a room with a view of N Seoul Tower, but this did not happen, which was truly disappointing for us. Overall, while the service from the staff was excellent, the hotel itself falls a bit short of a true 4-star experience.
