We enjoyed the two night stay here. This is a luxury lodge. The views are incredible. Get a tent with a view. Christina and Victor are amazing and were so attentive to our needs. We appreciate all their help. The food is absolutely fantastic. Sigfried the chef is awesome. The rooms are comfortable. There are bugs everywhere but they provide a spray. They spray the room as well. They have a bar as well. You can have morning breakfast on the porch and see views of the balloons.

A beautiful setting overlooking the Western Cooridor, this tented lodge is glamping at its best. Each tent is on a raised platform providing privacy and a breeze to go with the view of the endless plain. Inside tents have Victorian charm with leather wardrobes, marble & brass bathrooms and 4 poster beds with mosquito nets. The pool also has a view and is set amongst the gardens that give the lodge its very special appeal. Our favorite of the 5 Serena properties we stayed in because it is smaller, more intimate and has special details. Staff are amazingly attentive and welcoming. It’s a bit further afield but absolutely worth it.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. It was late in the season, so many of the animals had migrated, but this gave us the ability to relax for 2 days from a very busy 3 country whirlwind tour. Initially this place seemed a bit dated compared to the other places we had stayed, but I quickly realized the nuanced charm of what would be an original tented camp. From the British styled influnce in furniture, the old photos of safari hunts, to the silver flatware and china placesettings to the fine dining service itself. The food was beyond expecation, as was the service. I will never forget the piece of Nile perch I had for lunch, in fact, it was the best fish I have ever had in my life. The morning coffee brought to the tent with heated milk was lovely. I took time for a massage and OH MY GOODNESS, it was the best massage I have had , hands down, so much so, all of the girls in my group signed up for one and agreed, Mwjuma, was outstanding. Victor our server was lovely and his smile and singing voice radiated. The only reason I gave this gem a 4 is that it could use just a few updates to compete with the newer splashier places, but if you can see beyond that, this really is a spectacular place and a day at the pool and spa will leave you feeling pampered and happy.

We were booked here for three nights in August, but ended up leaving early. The camp has 25 tents, but only one or two others were occupied when we were there, it felt like a ghost town. The wilderbeest migration had happened, and the area surrounding the camp had been/was being burned (apparently controlled burning is part of the management of the Serengeti) so the landscape was charred and the air was smokey, and the animals had mostly gone, so we had to travel far for wildlife viewing. Even if the camp had been at full capacity and the landscape uncharred, I'm not sure it would have been that wonderful. The staff didn't really seem very experienced, there was not a friendly welcome or friendly vibe, and it did not seem very professional. We almost got a smile out of some of the waiters, but not from anyone else. The decor was advertised as 'out of africa' Edwardian charm, but it just felt like a bit of a second hand furniture store.

We stayed one night at this camp which was wonderful. This camp is on the western side of Serengeti which is almost 2-1/2 to 3 hours drive from Central Serengeti. If you like peace, quiet place this is heaven One can see beautiful sunrise and sunset. Facility, rooms, restaurants/food are all very good.

Tired, I hate to review this but I feel compelled to let others know what to expect. Compared to other tented camps, this was our least favorite. It is dated, the bed springs poked through, and the food was very meh. Dinner entrees consisted of a protein, white rice and five pieces of steamed vegetables every night. Lunch and breakfast boxes were horrible.

Kirawira Camp is a magical place that transported us back in time by a hundred years. It conjures up images of PG Wodehouse’s Bertie Wooster and Jeeves on safari. The tents/rooms are well appointed with antique furniture and lights from the 19th century. Yet they have all the comforts needed to enjoy the stay, including a welcome bottle of champagne. The tent’s bathroom is, again, luxurious but looks like it could have come from the Orient Express. The porch in front of each tent offers a view over the vast plains. The service is impeccable, the staff very friendly, and the food excellent. On our game drives, we saw zebras, wildebeest, lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, ostriches, hyenas, warthogs and more. Altogether a wonderful experience.

We stayed 4 nights here and the rooms were very comfortable in a tented style with great views of the Serengeti and nice to hear the wildlife noises around us . It’s a reminder of colonial style of the 1920’s The staff are all lovely especially Grivin and Daniel who made our stay special and they are all very attentive to the guests needs . The downside is the food as there’s a set menu every evening and not much variety and no Tanzanian dishes .This seems to be the same in all the Serena lodges. Breakfast was very good and packed lunches need variety. There is possibility to get a massage by the lovely masseuse who did a great job Coffee and tea trays in the room were there
