We came here travelling in a VW T5 as part of a European tour starting in the U.K. We actively avoid restorts centred around British people as we are often embarrassed by the behaviours we see towards local people. However this often leads to difficulties with a language barrier. Many of the staff at the campsite speak limited English however we were overwhelmed by the welcome and the willingness to work with us to get across what we needed despite our poor understanding of the Italian language. The animation and restaurant team in particular were excellent, very welcoming and made our stay excellent. The site is pretty basic, but had everything you need, bar, pool, restaurant, hot showers, WC etc all clean and tidy. The site sits well to access Cinque Terra, Portofino and Sestri Levante all of which are superb. The rail station is a short walk from the campsite and the trains in Italy superb, just make sure you validate your ticket: check in on your online app before your travel.
