There is an A/C and a heater in the unit, as well as a heated blanket, but similar to camping, expect the weather to be a factor. Explore Tennessee by day and relax in your dome at night. The dome has a large bay window and several sky windows. You’ll find a barn with an apartment, a tiny house, and three other domes on the property. Inside the barn, we have indoor showers and bathrooms. There is also a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker available for all guests to use. Additionally, we have an outdoor shower, but it will be shut off during winter months. There is also a propane fireplace to enjoy s'mores or hotdogs at night and a picnic table to eat and prepare meals.PET POLICY: We are pet friendly and understand pets are part of the family. We gladly welcome our guests traveling with pets. There will be a $20 fee per stay for each pet. Pet's MAY NOT be left unattended in the dome or on the property. Many of our guests say that they only had to pack their clothes and groceries. Or better yet, use one of our concierge services and have groceries delivered and put away before you even arrive! • You’ll find many little touches for an eco-friendly stay including recycling and many all-natural products. • You help us make a difference in the local community, as with each stay, we donate to support kids entering the local foster care system. • You’ll have access to our whole home with the exception of the storage closets (2 in the lower level and one in the loft bathroom). • There is ample parking for several cars in the driveway. • Check-in is a breeze with digital locks, while your custom door code provides safety. • If you are bringing a pet, this must be included in your booking so that the applicable pet fee is included in your rate. As we're in a rural mountain area, neighborhood dogs have been known to venture onto our property. Please keep your dog leashed or allow them to enjoy the upper deck or the fenced area out back. Please also be courteous and pick-up after your pets. We also provide pet blankets, towels and a vacuum so that you can help protect our cabin. We provide a 42"L x 27"W x 29"H crate and ask that you kindly crate your pet when unattended. • The last mile of the drive to the cabin is a two-way, one-lane road. It is steep and curvy. Locals are great about sharing the road and we ask the same courtesy in return. • We recommend AWD in January and February, as our driveway is also steep and curvy. • There are no refunds for weather. We suggest you consider purchasing travel insurance for possible cancellations. • Per our house rules, you will be required to sign a renter’s agreement at the time of booking where a copy of your ID will be requested. Please be sure your name, photo and birth year are visible. If you would like a copy of the renter’s agreement prior to booking, please ask. We are happy to provide it. • Minimum renter’s age is 25 and ID verification is required. • Also per our house rules, you will be required to schedule a $500 security deposit hold at the time of booking. The hold is processed the day before your check-in and as long as the cabin and property are left in good condition, it is released within 3 days of your check-out. • We understand that accidents happen. As part of your reservation, you will receive accidental damage protection for up to $1,500 (exclusions apply). We kindly ask that you inform us of any damages in a timely manner so we can start the remediation process. If the damage was caused by negligence, breaking of house rules or it falls under the exclusions, it may be withheld from your security deposit. Again, communication is key. Likewise, should you find anything broken upon arrival, please notify us right away so that we can correct the situation for you. • There is no smoking or vaping in the cabin or screened porch. • It’s BYOC (Bring Your Own Codes), so please bring your log-in and passwords to use the apps on the Smart TV’s. • Guests consistently praise our attention to cleanliness, which is possible by our guests keeping the cabin tidy so our cleaning team can do a thorough clean each time. Our check-out instructions are basic, and we reserve the right to withhold money from the security deposit if you do not complete the requested tasks. We stand behind our cleanliness standards and will promptly address any concerns you have. • For the safety and security of our guests and the neighborhood, there are 4 external security cameras facing outward from the cabin. One on the lower deck facing towards the driveway. One on the corner of the upper deck facing over the driveway. One on the back side of the house facing towards the A-frame. One on the back porch facing over the grill. • Safety is paramount to us! Therefore, we've thought of every detail so that you don't have to worry while on your vacation. You'll find things like flashlights, mini lanterns, first aid kits, fire extinguishers and emergency escape ladder all strategically placed should an emergency arise. During certain times of the year, there is an elevated fire risk in the mountains, and burn bans may be implemented.
