I just checked out from the Jianguo Puyin Hotel today, on Chinese Valentine's Day, and my experience far exceeded expectations. I absolutely have to give it a five-star review! When I checked in, the front desk lady was incredibly nice and efficient. She even arranged the room according to my requests, which was a really warm touch. The biggest surprise was seeing the hotel hosting a Qixi Festival intangible cultural heritage pressed flower handicraft event right as I was checking out. In a Zen-inspired new Chinese-style space, I got to personally arrange dried flowers to create my own romantic piece. It wasn't just an experience of traditional craftsmanship; I also got to take home this beautiful Qixi ritual, which was truly meaningful! I also have to praise the hotel's breakfast. The buffet selection was incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the taste was fantastic – very satisfying. For those traveling by car, the hotel's own parking lot is incredibly convenient. There are plenty of spaces, and entry/exit is smooth, completely eliminating the hassle of finding parking. The overall environment is elegant and quiet, and the service details are impeccable. I highly recommend it for both couples celebrating or family trips. I will definitely be back!

This hotel is excellent. Its location is superb, with subway and bus stops right outside. As a new hotel, the facilities are complete and very clean. The underground parking is spacious. The staff are enthusiastic and even offer a laundry service where they'll wash and deliver your clothes. They also provide complimentary congee in the evenings. All in all, finding a hotel with such great facilities and service at this price point in this part of Shanghai is truly rare.

We check in late at night, and the process was smooth. The hotel is quite new, and the room I booked for three people was spacious and comfortable. There is still some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. There were water stains on the sink, and we noticed a few stains on the bedsheets and pillowcases. It was still acceptable overall, but if you're very particular about cleanliness, this hotel may not be the best choice. The location is convenient, but the street outside the hotel gets quite dark at night. I wouldn't recommend walking alone late at night. There's a convenience store about a 3- 4 minute walk away. One more tip for anyone ordering Taobao parcels, your package may not be delivered directly to the hotel and could end up at a nearby pickup point instead. If that happens, you can contact the courier and ask them to arrange delivery to the hotel. Overall, it's a good value stay with a new, spacious room. As long as you're not overly concerned about minor cleanliness issues.

I found this Puyan Hotel last minute for a business trip to Shanghai. The location is incredibly convenient. You can see the hotel right outside Exit 5 of Dashijie Metro Station, which serves both Line 8 and Line 14. The hotel lobby is clean and bright. The room hygiene was also excellent. All the service staff were very polite. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and patient. They even offered to help with my luggage, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Shanghai. It's close to many popular attractions. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Shanghai. Thank you to all the staff.

I booked this hotel after reading a rave review. Good things first: 1) Location is great. Two metro stations on either side within 10mn walking distance. Travel time is less than 30mn to tourist attractions like the Band. Shopping mall close by and a nice park on the opposite side. Bus station is 5mn walk. Shanghai East Museum is 20mn walk away. 2) Breakfast is great, lots of selection of fresh Chinese food and fruit. Customer service was nice and if they can't speak English they use the translation app which helps a lot. Room was on the first floor and clean. Bed was very comfy and big with memory foam pillows. The design is very nice and feels uncluttered. The Chinese small garden was very beautiful. Room service everyday with new towels. Bad things: 1)I booked a room with a window ”city-garden view” as they call it and I got a nice wall with curtains. I would appreciate an honest description of the room so I can consider things appropriately and avoid disappointment. 2) I find the building materials a bit cheap and it starts to peel off. 3) The soundproofing is terrible: bathroom sounds from any side can be clearly heard and I had a noisy dehumidifier that would beep in the middle of the night to wake me up.

This hotel just opened, and I've been staying here for a month now. There are so many imperfections and things that aren't done right, I can't take it anymore and have to complain! 1. **Inconsistent Room Cleaning:** The cleaning times are all over the place. Sometimes my room is cleaned in the morning, other times it's past 6 PM and no one has come yet. The cleaning staff might be overworked, as they constantly forget to restock things every other day. It's either missing water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, or cotton swabs. I've reminded them a few times, but since the staff rotates, it's back to missing items a few days later. This alone makes the stay incredibly bad. 2. **Subpar Service Compared to Competitors:** The service doesn't match up to other hotels in the same category. While they do greet you, guests actually need practical service, right? I put my clothes in the laundry room with a service tag requesting drying, but after washing, they were just tossed into the dryer and left. It would have been better if they were at least put in a bag. And some rude guests even throw other people's clothes around – they're despicable, maybe they weren't raised right. 3. **Lack of Proactive Linen Changes for Long Stays:** During my extended stay, the cleaning staff only changed the sheets proactively once. Other times, they never bothered, even when I specifically told the front desk, and even then, they didn't change them until the next day. Seriously, thank you so much! Don't long-term guests deserve more attention? Do you guys not have a concept of regular maintenance? The manager inspects rooms all day but doesn't bother to ask if long-term guests' rooms are being taken care of, only caring about checked-out rooms, right? I'm writing all this to complain about my clothes being thrown around and all the other dissatisfactions I've experienced during my stay. I hope the hotel management can make improvements. The hotel isn't directly on the street, and you have to walk a bit from the subway station, which perfectly matches its 'hidden' theme. Getting around by bike or taxi is very convenient. The overall pricing is reasonable, making it a very cost-effective choice in Shanghai. 🌿 Elegant style | Highlights in the details The entire hotel features a timeless new Chinese design, and the bed is very comfortable. The lobby and the central courtyard in the back evoke a charming Jiangnan artistic conception, creating a serene environment. It's a bit of a shame that some public areas are shared with Home Inn, which slightly lowers the overall quality. 🎎 Chanced upon an event | Full of surprises I happened to catch a traditional sachet-making workshop, which added a lot of fun to my stay. The overall living experience was great. If you prefer a tranquil atmosphere, this place is worth considering. Please like, save, and share!

The location is unbeatable – just a two-minute walk from the subway station, and right outside is Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making shopping, dining, and visiting the Bund incredibly convenient. The hotel interior is wonderfully quiet; you can't hear any of the street noise. The new Chinese-style decor is clean and sophisticated. The smart home devices throughout the room are easy to use, the bathroom has excellent water pressure, and the toiletries have a light, pleasant scent. The free washer-dryer combo was a lifesaver for laundry. The front desk staff were professional and patient, even proactively helping us plan our sightseeing routes. The breakfast offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and the Chinese nourishing porridges were particularly comforting. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. This is definitely my top choice for any future trips to Shanghai!
