Golden Eight Immortals Hotel

Great service, friendly and very helpful staffs. The room is very spacious and reasonably clean. I like the fact that it has the washing machine that I can use every day. Internet signal is strong. I really enjoy staying here and will return again on my next trip.

We stayed 3 nights to experience Shanghai city on our way to Hnagzhou and weren't disappointed. The price to quality ratio was good, and while not as upmarket as the hotels on Nanjing pedestrian road, this hotel was practical and reasonably priced. We took a business room on the 6th floor, and had good facitilies in the room that worked well. Small fridge, washing machine, kitchen sink, intelligent toilt and soap, shampoo etc provided. There were no plates or utensils in the room, but we had been gifted some, so all worked fine. The hotel was relatively quiet with only a little street noise until 10pm, then silence until 7am. The hotel is right next to Jia Jia dumpling, the best dumplings in Shanghai and a quick 300 meter stroll to people's Square subway line which connected us to everything we wanted to see. Many buses stopping at the subway too, so it was particularly easy to get around without walking far at all. Based on location and the friendliness of the reception staff, the place can't be faulted. Its rated 2 star,probably because the facilties are a little tired, but I give it 5 stars as a no-nonsense, budget accomodation.

staff is friendly. location is good, with automatic bidet. hotel itself is badly maintained, for a new hotel the condition is quite bad. a lot of exhaust fumes from the restaurant in the morning, making our clothes smell like food. maintenance ladder is placed in the corridor the whole of our stay. toilet has no hooks to place our clothes. bed faces the entry door. 2 pillows for a queen bed only. had to change our stay from 2 nights to 1. would not recommend. rather stay further out with the same price paid.

The room was spacious. The room came with a balcony but not really that comfortable to stand there, but the a nice addition to a room. The streets are full of restaurants and is lively even until 12pm. The room came with an automated toilet and a projector.

Nice location near RenMin Park. Concierge Is friendly. Room is not that kind of outstanding one but quite standard and clean. I had sprite and coke with no additional charge. I think if you are looking for a standard room with reasonable price, this would be great choice

Location was great, close to people's square metro (exit 9 is closest, if I remeber correctly), and in a street full of restaurants. Najing East Road is a 7-10min walk away. We thought for such a location the rooms will be basic, but we LOVED the room we booked (Delight Double Bed Room (HD Giant Screen Projecti...). Clean, excellent shower water pressure, tea/coffee/drinks for free, large bed, and laundry machine. Would definitely go again, if I have to stay 1-3 nights in Shanghai.
