Shanghai Fangyu Hotel (Hongqiao Airport)

The renovation smell is still very strong. The light from the curtains reflects onto the frosted glass partition in the middle, which is quite uncomfortable.

This hotel offers great value for money, especially given its convenient location near Hongqiao. It's clean and perfectly adequate for my needs. I've stayed here multiple times because it's so convenient and close to Hongqiao.

Facilities: Spent a long time looking for a phone in the room, but there wasn't one. The door is a keypad entry, but you still have to carry a room card, which is really strange. The TV wouldn't turn off; neither of the two remotes worked. I had to unplug it to turn it off. The room isn't soundproof at all. If someone upstairs drops something, it makes a really loud thud in the room below. If the next-door guests are even a little bit noisy, forget about getting a good night's sleep – I didn't sleep a wink. Service: The service was alright, to be fair. Environment: The surroundings are also decent, with many restaurants nearby making dining convenient. Hygiene: Also acceptable.

I was very satisfied with the room. It's right next to the highway, but the soundproofing is excellent; I couldn't hear much of the road noise. The room was a bit warm, so I brought a light blanket. It would have been better if they provided light blankets.

The room was very comfortable, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious layout. It also had a washing machine and refrigerator. The receptionist, Ms. Han, helped upgrade the room, which I appreciated.
