Traders Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai (By Shangri-La)

This hotel is incredibly convenient, right across from check-in counter A on the departure level! It was so easy to just walk over and drop off my luggage in the morning. The price at Shengmao was very reasonable too. The decor is thoughtfully designed, with a modern business hotel vibe that's simple and practical. The room felt new, no strange odors, and it was spotlessly clean – excellent hygiene. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. (The Shangri-La next door looked beautiful!) And the hotel's own Chinese restaurant was absolutely delicious, highly recommend it!

Today, I took a high-speed train from Nantong Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Station. I booked a first-class seat, and the carriage wasn't crowded. Right outside the high-speed rail exit, there's a shuttle bus service to Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 for 10 yuan per person, which dropped us off directly at the hotel entrance. We booked the Traders Hotel, Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai, specifically the Traders Club Executive Runway View Twin Room, which is a thousand-yuan-level hotel. This room type is the best in the hotel, directly facing the airport runway. It came with the Travelers' Home Executive Privileges and fast-track security. After dropping off our luggage at the hotel, we went to experience the executive lounge, which offered snacks, nuts, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. After eating our fill, we returned to our room to watch planes take off and land from the floor-to-ceiling window. Dinner was enjoyed at the Executive Lounge's happy hour. After dinner, we took a stroll through the hotel's swimming pool and fitness center. Tomorrow morning, it's just a 2-minute walk from the hotel to fast-track security, which is super convenient [thumbs up]. This was truly an experience, mainly because I could quietly sit at the small round table by the room's floor-to-ceiling window, sipping coffee and enjoying a leisurely time watching planes take off and land [cheers]. The next day, our flight was in a business class seat that reclined 180 degrees, which was quite comfortable.

Extremely convenient location, just an 8-minute walk to Hongqiao Railway Station and a 1-minute walk to the airport terminal. The hotel lobby is uniquely designed, fully showcasing the distinctive character and personality of Shangri-La.

The location is fantastic, right next to Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2, Hongqiao Railway Station, and several subway lines, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The hotel itself is very new and luxurious. We could even watch planes take off and land from our room window, which was a delightful surprise for my child. The staff provided warm and welcoming service, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent – a rich spread of both Chinese and Western options, and both the elderly and children in our group thoroughly enjoyed it!

The hotel's location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Hongqiao Airport. Our room faced the jet bridge, which was fantastic for watching planes take off and land. The only downside was that the room was a bit small.
