I gotta say I opted for an hostel because I arrived in Shanghai on May 3rd, it was still national holiday and the few hotels that were still available had tripled the average booking fare, also I arrived at around 11pm so I felt like I needed a bed to sleep and the hostel situation would be more than ok. the hostel is within walking distance from the train station, position was also very convenient, the area is very peaceful, close to it there are a few convenience stores, a mcdonald's and other amenities. I loved the common area on the first floor it had a great vibe: I stayed downstairs for a while to charge my laptop, it was enjoyable just to chill there so I got myself an ice cream. at the check-in you get a card that will unlock most of the services: the door to go upstairs, lockers, shower water, closet to change shoes. you change into slippers and get upstairs where the rooms are. bed was comfy. and there's plenty of space to store personal items. there are no plugs near the bed but only a couple of usb ports to charge your devices, in order to charge other stuff you gotta head downstairs. anyway, I had a good time and loved the place, personnel was very friendly and spoke English. it is definitely a good option when travelling on a budget.

Good location, about 10 mins walk from Shanghai train station. The cleaness of the bathroom was so bad. It was stinky even though the janitor had cleaned it up. NO TOILET PAPER IN THE BATHROOM!!!! You have to bring it on your own. I lived here for 2 nights, but can’t sleep well since many people lived here for a long term , they know each other, they were still loud at 2 am, laughing, chatting, running back and forth…

Overall Satisfactory Service. Some basic amenities (tissues, towels) were not provided though.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The rooms are cozy, and as a solo female traveller, I felt very safe

I booked a "Shanghai D Coffee Youth Apartment," and when I went in, I was completely dumbfounded: the room was designed like a wooden coffin for a hermit's retreat. Going in felt like someone was about to light incense for me. It's supposed to be a hostel, but it's turned into a "spiritual retreat room." Those with insufficient spiritual cultivation shouldn't go in; they might just be resurrected overnight. The deposit is 100 yuan, and the bed price is ridiculously high. There are USB ports, though, as if they're worried about your phone running out of battery on your last night. The front desk staff are even worse; they keep talking like guests owe them 800 yuan. Want to check out? Dream on. Their attitude is clearly "take it or leave it."

The most perfect youth hostel to stay in Shanghai. The location is very good. It is very close to the subway station. There are residential areas nearby. It is a good location to get quiet in the bustle. The environment in the store is very clean and comfortable. There is a lot of space on the bed and two large storage rooms. The lockers can store a lot of things, and the most important thing is that they are really quiet. Some couple's B&Bs are noisy, but this place is really comfortable and quiet, and the quality of the guests is also very good.

The transportation is convenient. The subway station and high-speed rail station are just 500m from the door of the hotel. There are also many delicious food nearby. The quilt cover is clean and smell-free, the bed is big and soft, and the storage space is very large. Even the bed has storage compartments that can store many things. It is no exaggeration to say that this youth apartment is the most comfortable, cheapest and most affordable in Shanghai. The most cost-effective hotel. I will stay here again next time I come to Shanghai!

Looking at the picture, I booked a room for 2 people. When I went in, I found that it was a room for 4 people, which was completely different from what was shown in the picture. The bed was still a fully enclosed capsule bed. The room was very small, and I couldn’t see the light. 100, but, when I checked out at noon, I still didn't refund it, and the fee was deducted. I have to complain, it's too bad
