Ji Hotel (Shanghai The Bund Sichuan Middle Road)

First off, the rooms are small. Small room with a low ceiling. It’s not the most comfortable space especially when you have 2 people with 2 luggage, there’s just barely enough room. The pictures don’t capture how small the room is. The people at the front desk were friendly enough. They helped me order some takeaways a couple of times so that was nice. The bed was comfortable but the AC was somewhat erratic to set right. Another thing to note is that the phone in the room won’t allow you to call other rooms, which was a huge inconvenience for me because we had 2 rooms on opposite ends of the floor. I checked with the front desk about this and they said yeh the phone won’t allow that. In terms of location it was pretty good. Close to The Bund and close to many shopping complexes and a short walk to many eateries. Breakfast is average (not the worst), but their plain congee is good if you like congee. Have the breakfast if it’s included with your booking, otherwise, I wouldn’t pay for it. Strangely enough, my room booking only allowed for one person to have breakfast even though the room was for 2 people.

Great hotel with lovely reception (can’t speak English) and an amazing location right next to the bund, nanjing road and the metro. Only cons were the rooms are quite small (not much space for two people’s luggage) and initially smelled of cigarettes (can air the room by opening windows).

It is not a big room. You can't see the Bund Shanghai from the balcony. The location is very strategic. Walking distance to the Bund and Walking Streets. To the left there are Sichuan Road Bridge, Zapu Road Bridge. Where you can take good photos of the Bund. Shanghai Postal Museum is just 700 m away. Near to Metro station and budget shopping malls. Unfortunately the breakfast is typical and very few varieties (Not worth the price). There are small shops near the hotel if you choose not to book the breakfast in the hotel. Free coffee at the lobbybis a plus point. Thumbs up for all the friendly young receptionists. They all have done a good job. Photos taken from Sichuan lu Bridge above the Suzhou Creek.

Hotel located just around 10 mins walking distance to nanjing street and 5 mins to the bunds, around 12 mins to nearest metro station. Hotel provide free self service laundry service which include washing machine and drying machine. Hotel also provide robot service to deliver your food delivery to your room. Hotel can help to collect your parcel. All are good just the room is a little bit small but still acceptable.

No one in reception talks English. The wc when we come was not well clean. We asked a cleaning and it was solved.

I had a very good experience staying at this hotel! The staffs were very nice and the service was great. The area was also very convenient.

Convenient property with Shanghai Old time charms. The with from the balcony of our room is The Oriental Pearl Tower which was very nice. The pillows and matted were very comfortable. The breakfast area was small, and nothing much to eat - could be improved. Overall a nice stay.
