My stay at Seventh Heaven Hotel was highly disappointing though the location is great. The condition of the rooms was far from satisfactory, with dirty floors, windows, and bathrooms that left much to be desired. To make matters worse, the AC in the room failed to provide any heating during the winter, leaving me uncomfortable and cold. However, I must acknowledge that after several complaints, the hotel staff did eventually change my room. Despite this, the overall experience was marred by the initial issues and the staff's lack of politeness at the reception. In the end, I decided to check out and move to a nearby hotel for a more pleasant stay. I cannot recommend Seventh Heaven Hotel based on my experience.

Nice location.Ring on the Nanjing walking street.Check in and check out was easy.Gave me early check in with out asking.Arranged a taxt to PVG T2 in the early morning which was easy me.Room was small and had to window which had a view of the walking street.Room size is ok for solo travellers.Good small bathroom.700 meters walk to the bund and the view of the bund is amazing.

This hotel has the best location for you to explore around, and walking around the Nanjing road and visit the bars or clubs nearby. 100% recommended.

Very Good location for shopping, near many department store and walking street.
About 15 min. walk to The bund,
Easy to fine good food.
Nice service. Staff speak english.
It is Old building, but in side room not bad.

The hotel is really very old, and requires renovation and good staff. I always had to close the door well, because the cleaning staff knocks on the door once, and then immediately opens it with his key, it is impossible to get to the door in these seconds. Once the door opened, when I came out of the shower naked, it was very unpleasant.

I love the location of this hotel - it is on the Nanjing road - pedestrian walking area. As a back-packer tourist who wished to experice Shanghai winter before Chinese New Year festival, I stayed there for just one night. The facility provided by the hotel is not so bad for a superior room that I stayed. The view from level 11 of my view is quite amazing - I saw the beautiful skyline of Shanghai and breath-taking bird-eye view of its amenities. However, the hotel does not provide breakfast service which I actually expected to have buffet breakfast in the morning. One more thing I noticed was that the frames of windows were rusted - that I never expected. One thing need to highlight in safety reason is that there are no grills or barriers intalled on the windows of my room. I think it would be the same for other rooms as well. Hence, if you are staying as family visits with playful children, take precaution on this matter for the safety of your children.

I was looking for a hotel from the centrum with a breakfast. Trip.com shared that there would be breakfast for and extra cost. When the staff told me there is no breakfast Trip.com didn’t refund anything just told me nearest places for the breakfast. I wouldn’t book this hotel again. Hotel breakfast is important for a non stressful and slow mornings.

New years eve was great, the hotel has a lot of history, the room could be a museum, the wall paper, the furniture, the lamps, so classy....

Built in 1932 by a pair of entrepreneurial brothers, Guo Le and Guo Quan, the 19 story hotel was once the highest building in the city and housed one of the most luxurious ballrooms in Shanghai. Today neither building nor hotel occupy quite such a lofty position in Shanghai society but the hotel's 59 guestrooms are tastefully decorated with a nod to its heyday in the form of vintage style lamps and Art Deco inspired flourishes. Combined with its excellent location and reasonable prices, this is a great value option with a touch of old Shanghai.
The grand ballroom has been converted into a restaurant called Old Shanghai serving contemporary Chinese cuisine using seasonal ingredients.
Recreational facilities include a beauty salon. For the business traveler there is a business center offering fax, internet access and ticket reservation services. A well-equipped function room is available for meetings, conference and other events.
On the hotel's top floor, guests can enjoy views of bustling Nanjing Road pedestrian street.
