Facilities: Excellent, and the air conditioning was refreshingly cool. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: The ambiance was quite pleasant. Service: The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and even offered to help with my heavy luggage.

I booked a 4-hour day-use room for a quick rest during my visit to the site of the First CPC Congress. Unexpectedly, the hotel's surroundings were under renovation, and cars parked right in front blocked the view of the main entrance. To my surprise, there was also no elevator! I'd never encountered this before and almost turned around and left. However, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They assisted with my luggage and showed me to a clean room. The view from the window was unobstructed, with greenery, and it was very quiet. Its proximity to the First CPC Congress Memorial Site was a big plus; the short walk there and back was perfect. After a good rest, I headed to the high-speed rail station. It was peak rush hour, but thankfully, the hotel is very close to the subway, so my travel wasn't affected at all. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located right next to Dongtaixiang, an intangible cultural heritage site renowned for its traditional Shanghai Shengjian buns.

We chose this Hanting hotel for our visit to the Egyptian exhibition at the Shanghai Museum, as it's conveniently located just a 600-meter walk away. The room was spotless, and the service was excellent. The two 1.2-meter beds could be pushed together, making it very comfortable for two adults and one child. They also provided breakfast vouchers for Dong Taixiang right next door, and I must say, the *shengjianbao* from that well-established eatery were absolutely delicious!

For this trip, I found this hotel on Ctrip. After comparing various options, I booked the Hanting Hotel near People's Square. Its location is excellent, being very close to the subway, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff provided exceptional service. My only minor comment is that the room was a bit small, but it was always cleaned thoroughly and promptly.

The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This hotel has numerous rooms and is housed in an old Shanghai-style building, giving it a somewhat maze-like feel. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast at Dong Taixiang, conveniently located right next door. We visited the Ancient Egypt exhibition with our child, and the museum is just about a 10-minute walk away. You can also enjoy the scenery and take photos on the way. Our child absolutely loved this hotel; the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, and the room was spacious enough. I regret forgetting to take photos of the hotel, but it truly is an excellent choice for families with children. In the evening, you can also easily stroll to Nanjing Road and The Bund.

The hotel is conveniently placed between people's square and west nanjing road. Beds were soft, pillows plump and towels large and soft. Some of the furniture is a bit scuffed, hallway carpets worn and needs replacement. The hotel is in the process of renovation, and our bathroom had been newly renovated. For the price, it was good value for money for our night's purpose. Staff were very friendly and helpful, although a little too pushy about getting a 5 star review.

Good location, the outside of the hotel looks old and not fancy but the room was actually super nice and pretty big! Staff doesn’t speak English.

NIGHTMARE.....DONT GO HERE FOR NEXT 1 YEAR. THEY HAVE HEAVY CONSTRUCTION GOING ON SITE. EXTREMELY NOISY. THE STAFF DIDNT PAY ATTENTION TO THE REQUEST THAT I NEEDED A QUIET ROOM, NOR DID THEY INFORM BEFORE HAND ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION.... ONCE AGAIN DONT THINK OF GOING EVEN IF IT IS FREE....U WILL SPOIL UR HOLIDAY.

The nearby area are residential areas, mini stores, and restaurants. Very safe, peaceful, and convenient. It’s very near to the people’s square, museum, nanjing, and the bund! But, please note that there’s no elevator. You have to ask for some help at the reception area to carry your luggage/s. ☺️ All is good because they helped me carry mine. Thank you! Love the stay! Would recommend.

The hotel is very convenient and the staffs are very friendly and accommodating

The staff is really nice and location is pretty good - close to a lot of shopping malls and food - easy to uber to anywhere! The room looks clean and simple ( the only problem is that the corridor has some weird smell but room doesn’t have it so not a big deal!!)

Not sure how this hotel has this high review. It's location is not very convenient, it's pretty run down (table had sigarette marks, there was a leak in the reception and hole in the roof in the bathroom) there is a lot of noise in the night. Staff was nice even though they don't speak english
