Ginco Hotel

We booked this hotel for several nights based on its 5-diamond rating, the photos, and its good location. Unfortunately, the actual stay did not meet our expectations based on these factors, which was very disappointing. The room was not as clean as we had expected. There was visible, built-up dust around the corners of the tables, and the bathroom and shower areas were not properly clean. The room also had a damp and musty smell, and the humid air made sleeping quite uncomfortable. Thankfully, the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. When we contacted them about the room, they helped us change to a slightly better room even in the middle of the night. We really appreciated how willing they were to help. Unfortunately, in the end, we decided to change hotels for the rest of our trip. Despite the issues with the room, we would like to give special thanks to the staff. They were genuinely lovely and helpful throughout our stay, and we were also given some lovely face masks as a gift, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, the hotel has a great location and very kind staff, but the cleanliness and room conditions unfortunately did not meet the standard we expected from a 5-diamond hotel.

Absolutely exquisite stay at Ginco Hotel. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Jing'an, steps from great bars and restaurants. I was upgraded from the Superior Suite to the Deluxe Suite, which was very big and beautifully appointed. Everything was perfect. Would happily stay again.

Fantastic service from the start! After arriving early in the morning, they stored my luggage for me and provided complimentary breakfast and an early check-in which allowed me to relax and sleep following a long flight to Shanghai. The room was a good size, plenty of storage and a comfortable bed. It was very clean and welcoming. It is located a short 15 minute walk away from Line 2 and Jing’an Temple making it easy to access from the airport and to sightsee. I will be recommending to everyone visiting China.

This hotel is beautiful. The staff are lovely, ready to help and speak English pretty well. If there is anything they don't understand, they have a translation app at the front desk to help out. The room was large with plenty of space for belongings and all the amenities that you need, including a small fridge, coffee machine, kettle, Dyson hair-dryer, dehumidifier and a smart toilet. The shower had a lot of room, great water pressure and temperature control. There was a free self service laundry with industrial washing machines and dryers for guests as well.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. I was having trouble with paying for the taxi coming from the airport (alipay issue) and They offered to to front me the money. And They even gave me a charger for my phone that I could use.
