Haiweis Hotel (Shanghai Pudong Airport Store)

The hotel is about a 15-20 minute drive from Pudong Airport, and it's relatively convenient to get to Century Avenue metro station. They cover early morning flight departure times thoroughly, and the hotel is quiet, not noisy at all.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful and checked me in quickly. The airport transfer was also well-arranged.

The hotel is about 14 kilometers from the airport, and a taxi ride took around 15 minutes. (I later saw that the hotel offers airport shuttle service, which probably needs to be arranged in advance, but it would have been much more convenient and saved a lot on taxi fares.) The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, but not too difficult to find. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded our room for free since one was available. When we entered, a cockroach in the bathroom was the first to greet us, so we immediately contacted the front desk. They promptly moved us to another room, handling it with a good attitude and efficiency. We booked a king-size room with a window. The toiletries were disposable, and the toilet and sink were very compact. Our hairdryer didn't work. As for the shower and hotel TV, we didn't use them, so I won't comment on those. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money. It's quite close to the airport and reasonably priced. We stayed for one night as a layover after a red-eye flight. There's a bus stop a short walk away, but no subway station nearby.

The hotel offers a free airport shuttle service, which is its biggest advantage. The ride takes about 20 minutes, and buses run hourly. I recommend contacting the hotel in advance. I was transferring at Pudong Airport T1. The shuttle pick-up point is across the zebra crossing from the exit, down to parking lot B1, then up the elevator to the 1st floor's ride-hailing waiting area. Walk a bit further past spot number 1315, and wait at the parking lot exit. The shuttle is shared by several hotels, not exclusive to this one. This morning's drop-off took about 30 minutes, so if you have a flight, it's best to leave early. I had originally booked a single room without a window, but the front desk upgraded my room, which was great service. They provided a toothbrush and toothpaste set, and disposable towels. The shower pressure was strong, and there were two complimentary bottles of mineral water in the room. The only downside was that the duvet cover had many holes and was very old. I suggest the owner replace the damaged duvet covers immediately. Overall, as an airport transit hotel, it's very economical and practical. I'll definitely come again.
