Excellent location, a few steps from Nanjing road and 3 minutes walk to Nanjing East Station with direct access to Shanghai Pudong Airport with only 7 rmb! Delicious breakfast.

The hotel is very convenient. From any airport just take line2 to Nanjing east exit 1 walk 2 mins you will arrive. Hotel is very clean and front desk very helpful too.

Metropolo Nanjing Hotel is literally just next to East Nanjing Road shopping area with super convenient location. Shanghai Metro entrance is just within 3 minutes walk to the hotel although if you have large luggage, you need to exit through the exit at the other end as there is only elevator access at the far end which takes ~10 minutes to walk with luggage.
The location is good as a base to explore Shanghai as it is very centrally located.
The hotel is somewhat aged as it was opened earlier last century. The lobby is not huge but has nice “retro” decorations (first time see a gramophone).
Room is not huge but quite comfy and very clean, again with a touch of retro design. Basic amenities are available and can ask for extra from front desk staff if run out. Bottles of mineral water are placed near the lifts for guests to pick up on way to go out to enjoy sightseeing around Shanghai.
Staff are polite and helpful.

Excellent location. We stayed on the third floor. For some reason, the room has a musty smell. Suggest get a higher floor. There was construction going on across the street. Free unlimited water bottle is a plus.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Nanjing Street, where there are plenty of food stalls and shops to explore. The room is very spacious, and I really appreciate the free flow of mineral water, Laifen hair dryer, and smart toilet — all nice touches that made the stay comfortable.
However, there are some downsides. The reception service was not very friendly, and guests need to carry their own luggage to the room. The hotel is also a bit pricey, and laundry service requires additional payment. Another inconvenience is that taxis cannot stop directly in front of the hotel because it’s located along a one-way street.
Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-equipped hotel in a convenient area, but service and accessibility could be improved.

Very nice hotel in East Nanjing Road area. Just a few steps only. Very convenient location with the Nanjing Road train station Exit 1 closeby. Exterior looked classic & the interior really has Shanghai ambience. We loved our stay of 3 nites here. Rrception staff arr friendly. Breakfast was great every morning with different varieties for the main course. If we come again will definitely stay in the hotel.

Our second time stay here. The service staff were friendly and helpful. They kept our luggages while we were away and even took initiative to prioritize cleaning up our rooms so we could check in earlier .
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel especially for its location.

In terms of affordability and accessibility, we opted for this hotel. The stay is not too bad given the location. You are literally right beside the Nanjing East street. From the entrance of hotel, on your left, a 50m walking distance will lead you to the busiest street and super close proximity to the exit 1 of line 2 metro/subway station. In that 50m, you get to have dried “ba gua” from Singapore based 美珍香 and who would knew that so many locals and tourists would be trying out the 大壶春生煎馒头。 Loved the pork chip rice cake. Along the streets, the famous 青团 from 沈大成 is worth a try as well, i got myself the chicken floss and red bean paste filling which is delicious !
