Mainly here to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. I heard that J Hotel Shanghai Tower has its unique charm and I've always wanted to experience it, so I decided to choose a place where we could both dine and stay. The hotel's characteristic is that it's filled with art collections and a blend of Chinese and Western cultures. The overall service was quite good; they allowed us to check in early. Our butler, Amy, was very responsive and thoughtfully coordinated with the restaurant. The service from Guest Relations Manager Liu Hai was even more enthusiastic. During the 'Journey to the Clouds' tour, she specifically arranged for my dad to be the first one to stand in front of the ancient art treasure, the BMW on the 120th floor, for a photo. We had a very pleasant and wonderful time~

Thanks to the patience of Hotel J's private butler, Eve, who treats every service as if it were the first—the truest essence of a private butler, ensuring every word is followed through and every goodbye feels like a promise to meet again. It is so thoughtful that you feel right at home in this city, needing no explanations. You just need to take your time, and leave the rest to the butler. That feeling of being truly cared for is simply wonderful.

The design of J Hotel Shanghai Tower is luxurious and meticulously thought out. Our private butler, Eve Xiang, was professional and friendly. J Hotel Shanghai Tower redefines spatial grammar at 632 meters high, offering an Eastern deconstruction 'above the clouds'. The hotel's design beautifully integrates elements characteristic of Shanghai, such as the impressive 8-meter-tall crystal red Shikumen gate at the first-floor entrance. This is a tribute to the Shikumen on Xingye Road and Shanghai's modern urban civilization. Shikumen architecture is an outstanding representation of the blend of Chinese and Western cultures, and a product of the fusion of Wu-Yue and Western cultures. This review effectively conveys the hotel's design philosophy and brand story, while also highlighting many thoughtful service details. It reveals not just the superficial grandeur, but also the deep care behind it all.

From the concierge service upon arrival, the art installations on the first floor, the one-minute high-speed elevators, the Cloud Lobby on the 101st floor, the art guided tours, the high-altitude guest rooms, the seven specialty restaurants, to the sky-high pool and gym – every single aspect exceeded expectations. The facilities are top-notch, the cultural heritage is profound, and the service is gentle and thoughtful. The high-altitude views and comprehensive amenities cater to everyone, whether for vacationers, families with children, couples, or art enthusiasts. Unlike generic网红 (influencer-popular) hotels, J Hotel boasts a unique Chinese cloud aesthetic, with thousands of original artworks, traditional glazed enamel craftsmanship, and a core of local Chinese culture. It truly is a benchmark for domestic luxury, combining beauty, quality, culture, and service. The room is on a high floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the city skyline. The daytime view is expansive, with clouds and city buildings intertwined – truly breathtaking. I'm increasingly convinced that a good hotel is never an accessory to a trip, but an integral part of the journey itself. My few days at J Hotel Shanghai Tower allowed me to experience the vibrancy of Shanghai while also finding a rare sense of relaxation – perhaps this is the true meaning of a luxury hotel. The hotel's design showcases the five-thousand-year cultural history and traditional heritage of the Chinese nation, serving as one of the best works to display the beauty of the East to the world. Whether it's the elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, or the 'dragon's tail' sculpture, all demonstrate the pinnacle of Chinese aesthetic taste. The public areas are truly luxurious. And of course, our butler, Eve, was also excellent, with impressive eloquence.

Every time I bring my kids to Shanghai, we stay at J. It's very convenient, being close to the Pudong Art Museum. A big thank you to Eveee Xiang Furong – it was great to see her again this visit. My child has grown a year older, and she's still as warm and lovely as ever. The breakfast is especially delicious, but I wonder if they've changed chefs? The scallion oil noodles don't seem as good as they used to be.

Thanks to the butler team for their thoughtful care. They even sent a small cake for my child's birthday 🍰, which was very considerate. The breakfast was also excellent, and the view is definitely the best, above the clouds. Five-star ⭐ rating!

The overall service at J Hotel Shanghai was attentive and thorough. There's an extra layer of glass outside the room, which makes it feel a bit dim indoors on rainy days. During the National Day holiday, with the large crowd, the breakfast selection was a bit limited and felt a bit rushed. However, the high-altitude views were still outstanding. Underground parking is convenient, but you need to transfer on the first floor.
