I booked two identical river-view king rooms at the same price. However, I found that the amenities in the two rooms were completely different! The hairdryer, toiletries, coffee machine, and ice bucket were not even in the same league! Why such a huge discrepancy? The hairdryer was awful, even budget hotels wouldn't use one like that anymore! The power outlets in the wireless charging area had no power at all! Many areas in the room weren't clean. There were stains on the door and on the heated towel rack. There was also trash in the elevator lobby and inside the elevator itself. I had refrigerated food stored. When I went to the concierge, they told me to pick it up at the restaurant, but I couldn't find it there, so I ended up back at the concierge. I wasted half an hour just to retrieve something. What kind of efficiency is that?!

Every time I visit with my child, I stay here. The location is super convenient, right above Taikoo Li, so there's plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. This was my first stay at Pudong Shangri-La, and overall, I had a great impression. First off, it's located in the Taikoo Li commercial area, which means food, drinks, and shopping are all easily accessible. You don't need to travel back and forth to the city center to eat and browse, and the close proximity makes returning to the hotel convenient, especially in cold weather. Second, the hotel room's amenities had several highlights: 1. The balcony area features a sofa that converts into a single bed, and a partition can be pulled across to create two separate rooms from the main bed area. 2. The bedside power switches are motion-activated; they light up when you reach for them and turn off afterward, which is very convenient for getting up at night without fumbling around, and the light doesn't disturb your sleep. 3. The bathroom vanity has a height-adjustable makeup mirror, which is incredibly practical. Last but not least, and most importantly: the hotel service was exceptionally thoughtful. Staff in all departments were very service-oriented and responded promptly. When checking out, due to time constraints, I asked Tony, the Concierge Supervisor, to help coordinate luggage delivery. He was highly professional and resolved the issue efficiently and meticulously – a big thumbs up! I also want to thank Bob from the Concierge for his hard work in helping deliver our luggage to the bullet train station, which prevented us from missing our train. This is our second stay at the Shangri-La Qiantan, and we love it! The environment is fantastic, and it offers great value for money. It's conveniently located right across from Qiantan Taikoo Li and very close to the metro station, making it super easy to get around. It's also incredibly kid-friendly! Our little one even got a small balloon upon check-in and absolutely loved it ❤️ The housekeeper on the 22nd floor is especially warm and welcoming! She always greets our child with such enthusiasm whenever we see her 🙋‍♀️ Highly recommend!

This isn't my first time staying here in Qianyao. The room, as always, is cozy and comfortable! It gets really dark at night, which is great for sleeping.
