My stay was excellent; the hotel was well-organized and efficient overall. The front desk staff were professional and friendly, communication was smooth, and check-in was handled efficiently. The room cleaning was professional, facilities were well-maintained, hot water was consistent, and the bedding was comfortable. The hotel's location is convenient, making travel and sightseeing very easy. The breakfast quality was great, with fresh and authentic Chinese dishes, pastries, and dairy products. Overall, my trip and stay were secure and comfortable. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time and highly recommend it! In particular, the room was clean and tidy, offering a comfortable and quiet stay. The front desk service was professional and thoughtful, and getting around the area was convenient. Breakfast featured Chinese cuisine and French specialties, making for a great travel experience. Highly recommended.

Service: Before checking in, I read many reviews complaining about the check-in staff. I definitely experienced it myself. All the staff avoided eye contact; it was hard to find someone to help with check-in, and everyone seemed busy. There was a young man near the elevator entrance who suggested not standing there. He would just lower his head and walk away when he saw guests; I don't know what purpose it served to have someone standing there. The bellhop at the luggage storage was enthusiastic, but I suggest increasing the refrigerated storage space and training staff. They shouldn't advise guests to carry their refrigerated items with them when checking out, especially on such hot days; it's better to leave them in the air-conditioned hotel. The staff at the entrance who helped with luggage and opened car doors were polite, and their service was appreciated. Some of the hosts at the breakfast restaurant were very warm and friendly. Others were not, and some were only friendly towards Japanese guests. The chefs at the cooking stations were all excellent, and the food was delicious. Facilities: Older hotels always have shortcomings in their hardware. As soon as I exited the elevator on the guest floor, I smelled dust, and there was a musty smell in the room. The shower equipment was old and difficult to use, the washbasin was quite low, and the small magnifying mirror for makeup/removing makeup was broken; either you had to hold it up very high to see your face, or it would fall down and still not work. This can't be changed in the short term, so it needs renovation. During renovations, I suggest not installing mirrors facing the bed again. I slept very poorly at night. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was much better than I expected. There was no dust in the nooks and crannies, which was a pleasant surprise. Noise: The room was very close to the elevator, but surprisingly, there was not much noise, which was acceptable. However, there was a regular rumbling sound, which I suspect was the subway passing by; it was very noticeable. The sound disappeared after the subway stopped at night and reappeared in the morning. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience, but I've tried it. I won't choose this hotel again.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff (especially the lady who helped us) provided excellent service. I loved the facilities; the room was spacious, and the location in the city center was perfect. It was a very comfortable stay overall. I definitely recommend it, and the projector was a great touch!

Facilities: I heard it's a renovation of an old house, and the space utilization is maximized. The corridors are winding, and there are even floors within floors, like an attic. Our assigned room was on top of the attic, requiring us to climb another set of stairs. The doorway was incredibly narrow, and very close to the opposite room's door. It was very noisy late at night with people coming back and opening and closing doors. The bathroom inside was also very, very narrow; there was hardly any space to stand once the door was open. Cleanliness: The hygiene conditions were actually quite good. Environment: It's very close to the Dashijie Station on Metro Line 14, just a short walk away. The area isn't super bustling, but it's lively enough, and I felt the environment was quite safe. Service: Because of the unique renovation and design, carrying luggage can be a bit tricky. You can ask the front desk to have staff help you with your bags.

After comparing several hotels, I decisively booked this Atour Hotel near Jing'an Temple and Nanjing West Road. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, surrounded by popular Instagrammable spots, making it super convenient for exploring with kids. I specifically booked the Little Yellow Duck-themed family room on Ctrip, which my kids absolutely adore. It was full of childlike fun, and they were incredibly happy when we checked in. The hotel facilities are perfectly suited for families traveling with children. There's a 24-hour self-service laundry room with a dryer, which was a huge lifesaver for washing the kids' clothes during our trip. Every night at 9:30 PM, they also offer complimentary warm late-night congee. After a long day of sightseeing, a bowl of that was so comforting and heartwarming, making us feel right at home. The hotel's service was thoughtful and attentive, the living environment clean and comfortable, and all the amenities were complete and well-maintained. It fully met all our family travel needs and offered fantastic value for money. This is definitely our top choice for traveling with kids!

The room was spacious enough for a little car! The location is super convenient, right by the subway entrance. It's close to Xintiandi, Sinan Mansions, the Shanghai Museum, and the Great World. The service was warm and attentive; the young lady Yu Xi was very thoughtful and even gave us a small gift before we checked out.

I stayed for two nights and was very satisfied with the hotel. The facilities were complete and well-equipped, including a smart toilet and a mini-fridge. The toiletries were good, and there were full-length, vanity, and makeup mirrors. I especially liked the thoughtful shower design: a large overhead rainfall shower for adults and a lower wall-mounted one for children. The bed was also very comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, just about 50-60 meters to the right of Exit 2 of Dashijie Station on Line 8. It's close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and The Bund, and only a stop or two away by subway. The male receptionist was polite and had a great attitude, and the cleaning staff were also very friendly and polite, always greeting everyone with a smile. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

That line gets you everywhere, so you're connected to the whole city without paying central tourist prices. What really got me was the outdoor patio. In expensive Shanghai, that's a flex. The whole lobby and dining area feel super cozy and homey—almost like a US-style social hub. I noticed 90% of the guests were non-Chinese, so if you're looking for an easy place to chat with other travelers, this is it. Rooms are clean, efficient, and have a fun, big design that makes the space feel bigger than it is. Breakfast is included and actually good—freshly made Chinese and Western options, so you don't have to hunt for coffee and eggs in the morning. Staff are genuinely friendly. They'll give you honest food recs and even help with delivery requests if you're ordering anything. Best value I've found in this location. Already planning my next trip back. Pro tip: Grab a coffee or tea on that patio in the morning —just like you would do that in your own house. Super relaxing and great vibe. Also ask the front desk which side of the building is quieter; they'll set you up away from any street noise. u

I chose this Light Inn for my trip to Shanghai, and it was a real gem! The location is absolutely fantastic – the subway station is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to The Bund, Yu Garden, and Nanjing Road either by walking or taking the subway. The hotel really impressed me with its attention to detail: the lobby has a self-service hydration station with unlimited cucumber-lemon water and grapefruit tea, which was so refreshing and photogenic. The bathroom in the room had Jo Malone toiletries, and the shower pressure was excellent, making for a really comfortable shower experience. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-lit, with a soft bed that ensured a good night's sleep. They also provided individually packaged, high-quality bath towels, which felt great and showed a real commitment to guest comfort. 👍 The front desk service was gentle and attentive. The overall decor is minimalist and chic, with an elegant atmosphere. For a downtown hotel, the value for money is truly exceptional.
