Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay

The B&B's inner courtyard maintains the original ******* architectural style, while the rooms are neat, soundproofed with brick and concrete. The staff were warm and thoughtful, offering free luggage storage and parking. They also proactively shared local tips for sightseeing, from hidden viewpoints at Napa Lake to authentic dishes in the old town, which made us feel much more at ease exploring an unfamiliar city. It's a genuinely honest and great value place. Highly recommended!

This was the best hotel of my trip. The room was spacious and clean, and the bedding and bathroom amenities were quite refined. It's located at the highest point of the old town, offering views of Guishan Park and the prayer wheel. Unfortunately, I got altitude sickness as soon as I arrived, so I couldn't stay longer than one night and had to leave in a hurry. I'm so grateful the hotel had an oxygen concentrator I could use constantly. If I get the chance, I'd love to stay here again. The owner is welcoming, and the pick-up guy was incredibly friendly, managing to carry two large suitcases up the stairs by himself.

This time, I went with my best friend and we booked a twin room. The room was really spacious and super clean! The staff, especially the young man, provided excellent service. The hotel's location is fantastic; our room had a direct, clear view of the giant prayer wheel, and we could even spot Songzanlin Monastery in the distance. The price wasn't expensive for the Old Town either. Overall, it was a really great experience, and I honestly recommend this place to everyone!

I have to give a huge shout-out to Yunbian Scenic Guesthouse! The room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was exceptional, which made for a very reassuring stay. The biggest surprise was the comprehensive amenities: heating, a humidifier, and an oxygen concentrator. It's truly rare to find such comfort in Shangri-La. The owners are a lovely couple, so warm and welcoming, they even treated us to watermelon. It felt just like coming home.

The B&B is in a great location, nestled on a hill not far from the North Gate of the ancient town, offering fantastic views and easy access to the town itself. We stayed in a suite with my parents and children, and it was very convenient. The service was excellent. Since cars aren't allowed inside the ancient town, we parked our car in a lot nearby. One of the staff members kindly drove a small electric car to pick us up and helped with our luggage. Our child suddenly caught a cold and suffered from altitude sickness, developing a fever and chest pain in the middle of the night. The owner drove us to the hospital in the early hours of the morning, which was incredibly touching. If we ever get the chance to visit Shangri-La again, we'll definitely stay here.

The owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any request. The guesthouse also boasts an absolutely stunning view and a prime location.

The view outside the window is unbeatable, with the prayer wheel and Giant Buddha Temple in full view right from the bed. The owner used an electric tricycle to transport our luggage and us, and was very welcoming, fulfilling all our requests. Overall, we're very satisfied.
