Z Hotel (Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient City)

This stay really exceeded my expectations. I loved the hotel's modern yet vintage decor. They have underfloor heating and oxygen supply, and the floors are so clean my child could walk on them in socks. On the second night, we even got a free upgrade to a king room with a bathtub! The service was incredibly responsive to all our requests, and they offer pick-up and drop-off from the station, which was fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's also super close to the ancient city, just a short walk away.

The hotel is conveniently located. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was quick, and they proactively helped with luggage. They even prepared special tea and snacks. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and it had good natural light and ventilation. The facilities were comprehensive. There's diffuse oxygen supply, but the system stops automatically and requires removing the room card and restarting it, which is a bit of a hassle. The hotel offered a 'goodnight soup,' which was a thoughtful gesture, but the way it was delivered – staff entering the room unannounced to leave it – completely disregarded guest privacy. I hope they can change their operating procedures.

The room was excellent, and the hotel service was top-notch. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the station, provided welcome fruits, and even a complimentary sweet soup in the evening. They also upgraded our room for free upon check-in. Highly recommend!

A truly five-star review, I had a wonderful three-day stay here. Coming from Lijiang Banyan Tree, Z Hotel's service was even better. Zhuoma was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the room was spacious with new facilities; the large bathtub was a real treat. Every day, they provided snacks, fruit, drinks, and a sweet soup for the evening. If I ever come back to Shangri-La, I would definitely choose this place again – it was perfect!
