Shangri-La Half View Vacation Homestay (Near the Giant Prayer Wheel, Dukezong Ancient City)

Facilities: I have to mention that the room has an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier, which is super friendly for tourists like us who haven't quite adapted to the high altitude yet. Also, because Shangri-La is a bit dry, the humidifier played a huge role! All the equipment is very new; it really lives up to being a hotel that just opened in 2025. The decor style is beautiful, very high-end and elegant, and the room also features smart home devices, so you can control the curtains and lights with a smart speaker, which is very convenient! Hygiene: Very clean. Plus, the hotel provides disposable bath towels and disposable toilet seat covers, which is the first time I've encountered something like that – very thoughtful! And they replenish them daily, with plenty of stock. Environment: Great and very quiet. It's located right inside Dukezong Ancient City, so transportation is super convenient. It's only about a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, and there are many restaurants and photo studios nearby. The options for ordering takeout are also very rich. Service: The owners are incredibly warm-hearted! Due to a mistake on our part, there was a slight issue with our booking, and we also arrived very late. The room type we originally booked seemed to be unavailable, so the owners directly upgraded our room for us, which we're truly grateful for! The two elders also took great care of us, enthusiastically helping us, and even offered to drive us to the airport when it was time for our flight. Most importantly! They have two super cute Samoyeds and one super smart, handsome dog named Beibei, Lele, and Laicai, who are very friendly! There's also a little cat named Mimi! The owners told us many stories about their three dogs, and their little girl even took us dog walking with her. In short, staying here doubled the joy of our trip, and we'll definitely choose this guesthouse again next time we visit Shangri-La!

As a Malaysian tourist who's traveled to over ten countries, this is by far the most satisfying place I've ever stayed! It offers great value for money, and the owners are incredibly kind and genuinely hospitable. They helped me hang my laundry, offered to drive me to the high-speed train station, and even chatted with us about the local culture and history. Before we left, they gave us a gift – truly a heartfelt gesture, showing they treat every guest with sincerity. The room itself is beautiful, has a wonderful ambiance, and is very clean. It's fully equipped with underfloor heating, a humidifier, and oxygen supply, and they even taught us how to use everything, which was incredibly helpful for someone not used to these amenities. There's so much more I could say, but if any of my relatives or friends plan to visit Shangri-La, I will wholeheartedly recommend this place!
