The room was very cozy, with all the amenities! The host was incredibly kind and helpful, we spent a lot of time in the common area and even though we don’t speak Chinese, he made sure to include us in the conversations and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The location is great, just outside the Old Town and walking distance to the bus stop to reach the station or the monastery. Just a quick note: the room doesn’t come with heating (as advertised), just a bed heating blanket, something to keep in mind if you come during winter, as it gets quite cold. But considering how affordable it is, it’s great value for money.

We had a great time in up in the air hostel😁 The place is close to the old town so you can easily walk there but it's far enough to have some peace and quiet. The white chicken temple (with beautiful views) is a short walk away. The host is very nice and speaks english well! She was very helpful with local recommendations and arranging a ride to Feilaisi. Definitely recommend!

Very convenient location with a cosy common area (plus two cats), no heating in the rooms but the heated blankets worked fine for me during winter. Will definitely visit again.

Nice hostel, very close to the old town. The owner are very nice and you can sit next to the warm oven in the afternoon / evening.
