Best homestay in Shangri La! Location only 100m from North Gate. Li, the homestay keeper is very helpful & kind!

Simple but great accommodation. Warm and cosy at night with the heated mattress was a nice touch too. Staff friendly, good communication via WeChat, and a good location near the entrance to the old town. The only negative I found as the difficulty to locate the property - it’s not quite at the right place on the map, but asking a couple of locals with the “local” address helped. Eventually found the right place, and enjoyed my stay.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. For the rate that we paid which included the railway pick up and breakfast, we have no complaint at all. On top of that, as we arrived earlier than the usual check in time, the hotel was gracious enough to allow us for early check in. It was a short drive from the railway station to the hotel. The communications were done via wechat and it was all smooth as we can communicate using the wechat translator. Our room were located on the third floor. It was steep stairs but we managed. The room was spacious enough for both of us. It has all the basic necessities and clean. There was also heated bed which was good as it was cold in Shangrila. The hotel also have luggage storage after check out which was good as we could continue exploring the city until it was time to take our train in the late afternoon. As for the breakfast, it was served at a diner across the street. There were mutliple set breakfast choices. Simple breakfast but technically it was enough for us as we dont have much option anyway as a muslim with specific food requirement. Croissant, eggs and fruits were good enough with tea and coffee. The location of the hotel is really near to the Dukezong Ancient Town. Less than 5 minutes walk. It was rather convenient as we went back to the ancient town at the night time and has no trouble to find our way back to the hotel by foot. Also it is easy to get public transport at the area. The hotel really looks photogenic ni the pictures especially at night time when all the lights were on.

The hotel is near the Shangrila Own Town. It’s quite old but clean. It provides electric heated pad. So warm.

hotel staff is helpful, friendly and good service (include airport pick up), but carpet floor still need to clean more. the breakfast is provided the Pizza House, with English communication of the friendly lady.

Nice hotel, the staf was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the oppositie pizzeria, was a good breakfast.

I am satisfied with the room. The view is beautiful and very close to the ancient city. The lady boss is very nice.

There is an electric blanket in the cold winter, so it is very warm. Because it is a main road, the location is also very good, but there is no hot water in the morning. The good thing is that please let me know when you check in😄

The whole wooden ******* hotel has air conditioning, electric blankets, humidifiers, and oxygen machines. It is clean and hygienic, and the bedding is comfortable. It is the best for people who just arrived in Shangri-La and need to rest and adapt to the altitude. The hotel front desk is very enthusiastic, and they actively answer any questions and inquiries. They are efficient, conscientious and responsible. Thumbs up. Overall, it is a very pleasant stay.

The transportation is very convenient, located near the ancient city. It takes about 2 minutes to walk to the ancient city. It is not as noisy and crowded as the B&Bs in the ancient city. I just like this quietness 😊 It is easy to fall asleep. There is also free parking.
