We love everything about this hotel, the staff and owner are really friendly and helpful. Since we arrived until check out they really tried to make sure that we were comfortable. They have a dog and he's super friendly as well. I will definitely stay here again if in the future coming back to Shangri-la. Keep up the good work guys!! Highly recommended minsu just 5mins walk from East Gate of Duke Zong old town!! Host is super friendly and offers great recommmendation. They sent us to the train station on our last day and also offered many useful recommendations on our trip. There is a cozy living area where you can hangout and have simple breakfast (ie porridge, noodles, egg, sweet potato, corn, vege etc). There’s also a huge oxygen tank in case you feel unwell from the high altitude. The room itself is also spacious and clean. There is no TV but there’s a screen projector that you can use built in apps to watch shows. Room is by the road so we can occasionally hear traffic sounds but generally it’s pretty quiet. This is also a perfect place if you want to make friends because there are fireplace gatherings and singing sessions by the host! Will be back again:)

Singaporean travellers. Recommend this hostel if you plan to stay within the ancient town. Host was really friendly and helpful. We got advice and suggestions on itinerary, and host also had contacts with local drivers to 拼车/包车 which were much needed as we didn't have contacts for our travel. We went to Pudacuo national park, Songzanlin monastery, Meili Mountain. Amenities were complete and comfortable to stay in. Smart toilet, warm heated room, simple breakfast provided, lounge area with cute pet dog :)

Very chic and modern hotel. Host was very attentive and guided us on the best way to adapt to the high altitude. Rooms was well stocked with water, glucose, humidifier, and my favorite the projector tv that we get to enjoy movies night with my family.

A luxurious homestay in golden location. The room is clean and spacious. It is very close to the ancient city. Only 3-5 minutes walk. And there are many restaurants and shops on the street where the hotel is located. The owner is very nice and kind and helpful too.
