Passing-cloud Resort·Gaogongfu (Ancient town of Dukezong,Shangri-la)

The service at Passing Cloud Resort is exceptional. The accomodation is housed in a beautiful building and located within the ancient town of ShangriLa. From the well appointed room to the delicious breakfast, I highly recommend the resort. The staff are friendly and will help you with anything you may need. Passing Cloud was my favourite place to stay on my holiday to China.

Simply felt at home. They contacted me a day earlier about the pick up - driver was very good and car was big. Location couldnt be better and love their interior..! Breakfast was superb and staffs were super friendly and helpful…renting costume was free but sadly we got no time to do photoshoots… Amenities were perfect! They even ask the guest to carry home their lovely slippers and towels. My first time staying at a homestay in China, turned out surprisingly good..we have always choose international 5 star chains in Asia for certainty but now Passing Clouds would be one of my first choice. The only downside probably only that hot water in the shower was a bit tricky but we managed! Its a very beautiful authentic all wooden building, and we can understand about the creaking floor…and windows that has no views being located in the old town. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity, its well appreciated by us travelling with a small kid!

民宿 is conveniently located.  About 200m from car park.  Staff located trip.com to arranged to pick us up from drop off point.  Comm was via WeChat after connection was made. I was upgraded to a bigger room.  Laundry detergent was provided and can dry my clothes on the heater.  Had to pre order breakfast the before.  It wasn’t too bad. Overall excellent stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel adjacent to the "old town", filled with traditional buildings, fabulous restaurants and shops. My garden view room was beautifully furnished, large and with many amenities, as well as oriental art. The king bed was so comfortable, and the extras were appreciated. Jimmy greeted us with a tea presentation with fruit and rose petal cakes. He was attentive and knowledgeable, as were all the staff. The breakfast room was filled with art and musical instruments, and had a wonderful view. The name Zen Garden is totally apt for this tranquil hotel. Jimmy also drove us in a very comfortable SUV EV to the train station and gave us information about our other destinations. Thank you for a wonderful stay Zen Garden. I was sorry to leave.
