Shangri-La Central Tiger Leaping Canyon Dream Boutique B&B Reviews

I stayed three nights at this accommodation. I chose it because it was one of the least expensive in the area. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The family has a restaurant on the other side of the road where I ate lunch and dinner. Grandmother's cooking is very good.

Awesome value for money with a great (partially obstructed) view! Definitely get the upgrade to one of the rooms on level 2. See my photos for the reality of how it looks from the window. There is indeed a roof terrace (above the restaurant/reception), but from there you'll see the road and houses in front. There is food in the restaurant (cooked by the lady boss) but it's just okay. There's a cafe just down the road (turn left from hotel door) with awesome views (32/38r a cup and a roof terrace with glass railings). Much better view than the other cafe/hotel near tina's (view of the mountains) because from here you can see into the valley. Rose latte is recommended.

Fantastic experience staying here. Our room was upgraded for free and we had the most incredible view of the gorge up the river. Quite a unique view as most other accomodation just faces the opposite gorge, so would recommend this place for the unique view point it offers. The food was also amazing - don’t go anywhere else to eat. We had dinner, then breakfast and lunch the following day. The banana and walnut pancakes were incredible.

Incredible view up the river from the hotel, especially from any upper floor rooms. The rooms were great and spacious but very firm mattress... Restaurant was ok but very oily as are most restaurants.

This is a basic place to stay on the tiger leaping gorge trail. It has the essentials. Decent place for 1 night. The bathroom has no separation between the toilet and the shower so be ok with that if you stay here. The view and location is excellent. There is a restaurant on site.

We just stay in TLG not for hiking but just to rest and enjoy the view - The hotel is around 100m from Tina's guesthouse which is easy if you want to book a bus back to lijiang or shangri la. - There is no didi in TLG so you need to buy ticket direct ly from the bus driver. If private car they will charge you a lot. We are grateful that the owner arrange us the transport back to shangri la. And we are able to ride a bus from the TLG scenic area to the hotel. - The hotel view is beautiful - The room is nice and clean, the shower pressure is good. There is aircond, water heater.

A lovely hotel in a really scenic spot, with views over the gorge from my bedroom. The room was clean and warm. The owner is kind, patient and very helpful, the family are lovely, and the food is good.

We stay here after our hike from Naxi Guest House, it was great, the beds are a bit hard but the host provide us marres topper

This was a great stay after a long day of hiking. We had a good contact about dropping our bags before we arrive. And food is highly recommended (potatoe triangles amongst others). The family is very helping and the view from the restaurant is spectacular.

The hotel is located near Tina's guest house and the exit of Tiger Leaping George hiking tracks. The hotel seems to be owned by a very nice family. They are nice and helpful even they don't speak English at all. The room is clean and the bed is really warm. I'm not sure if they normally don't provide the towels or not but I didn't get one when stayed there. However, overall is nice!

functional hotel to stay before we head down to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Very convenient location... near the Sky ladder track to go down. Also near Tina's to catch bus back to Lijiang or to Shangri-la. Love the food here... cooked by the boss's wife. Delicious! Yummy! View from the room is amazing... watched the sunset....Bed a bit on the hard side though...

Brand new hotel near Tina's Guesthouse (＜100m) wich is very convenient to take bus to Shangri-La or Lijiang. Very confortable and the shower is wonderful! You must eat at the restaurant because it's so yummy!!

The place exceeded any of my expectations. It is close to Tina's Guesthouse (for the return bus to Lijiang or Shangri-la) and it doesn't require uphill or downhill walks. The room was fantastic. Modern, spacious, and everything was well thought out. The shower was awesome with blowing heater for post-shower drying. Wifi was ok, occasionally it lost signal. Stronger wifi could be had from the restaurant. Had dinner at the restaurant. It was cheap and flavorful. Overall, highly recommend this place as an alternative to the more popular Tina's.

Great hotel, great rooms, great location and very handy having a restaurant.
