This is a perfect place if you want to see the Yulong mountain up close. No other hotel in the area offers such an experience. Each hut has a terrace facing the highest peak of the Yulong mountain. It's located in a mountain village, far from the tourist spots, yet close enough to get to them within a 10 minute drive.
There are all necessary extras like robes, slippers, toothbrushes, etc. the water is hot and with heating on you don't have to worry about the winter cold. There is a restaurant where you can have meals: the BBQ and hot pot were delicious. You will also get breakfast served to your room where you can eat it on the terrace.
Staying in such a place is an unforgettable experience!

I arrived at this hotel after a long day. It was raining and snowing, so I didn't mind paying a high price for this hotel room. Tiger Leaping Gorge is not far away, so this is a tourist area with really beautiful sights.
Even though the kitchen was closed, they still prepared a huge dinner for me.

We initially planned to stay one night to experience it, but we extended our stay for another night. Their service was excellent, and the scenery was beautiful. My son especially loved their white horses. We could ride them and take photos. The blue sky, white clouds, grasslands, and snow-capped mountains made for amazing pictures. The rooms had air conditioning and underfloor heating, and the facilities were complete. All the rooms had floor-to-ceiling windows. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Yunnan.

It was a great experience. You can watch the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain while lying down. The handsome boy was enthusiastic in service. He turned on the heating for us in advance because he was afraid that we would be cold. He patiently explained the equipment in the room and reminded us that the temperature difference between morning and evening was large, so we should keep warm. He also helped us prepare afternoon tea. The environment was beautiful and clean, and the stars were clearly visible at night. The children asked me to bring them here next time 😁 The biggest gain from this trip

From the thoughtful breakfast and coffee to afternoon tea, to the on-demand pickups for wandering through the ancient city and strolling through Shuhe. I nibbled chestnuts and grapes, savored the unique flavors of Yunnan coffee, and slowly discovered the quaint history and art scattered deep in the alleys.
This trip has convinced me that getting out and about can truly improve your luck. Places with mountains and water can cleanse the mind. The afternoon we arrived at Rimu Mountain, after the rain, a double rainbow appeared. It truly is a blessed place!

As frequent travelers, we know how hard it is to find a place that truly offers a great stay, and Manxiwan exceeded all our expectations. Our standards for Airbnb stays have been raised once again, thanks to this experience.
The service is top-notch — the owners are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, always making sure you’re well taken care of. The ambiance is amazing, and they’ve thoughtfully prepared everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.
A bonus: everything they provide is of high quality. I didn’t even need to use my own Dyson hairdryer because they already had one available. The bathrooms, showers, and bathtub are spotlessly clean and properly disinfected. They even installed a heater in the shower room, so you won’t freeze while bathing.
The amenities are impressive: there’s a Marshall speaker, a projector with an automatic white screen, and voice-controlled curtains — just say “你好，小乐，开/关窗帘” and the curtains will open or close without needing to find a switch.
The view outside the window is absolutely breathtaking — one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. Another plus: the place is so photogenic that you can take tons of amazing pictures without even stepping outside.
If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask — the hosts go above and beyond to help. They also offer car rental services at reasonable prices, making it easy to explore the area.
The food is delicious too — I especially loved the 米线 (rice noodles)! One evening when we returned late, they still welcomed us warmly, asked about our day, and even offered us some warm soup. Their kindness and hospitality truly stood out.
I highly, highly recommend this place — you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The service was exceptionally thoughtful; from the moment we checked in until we left, the staff were incredibly warm and attentive, looking after our needs as if we were their own family. The location was absolutely incredible; we could see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly from our room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The balcony was particularly spacious, and gathering there as a family to chat and admire the mountain views was truly the most idyllic part of our journey.
The guesthouse itself felt like a collection of popular 'Instagrammable' spots; every photo we took looked like it belonged in a magazine. This meant we didn't have to join the crowds and queues at other attractions just for a good picture, saving us a lot of precious time. The travel photography service offered by the guesthouse was a particular highlight. The photographer had an amazing knack for capturing candid moments, making our family's interactions and smiles incredibly vibrant and infectious. Each photo is now a cherished memory.
The biggest surprise was the restaurant's cuisine; every dish was delightful. We particularly recommend the preserved pork rib hotpot – the meat was incredibly tender and the broth rich and flavorful. Our entire family left feeling completely satisfied.
We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Yunnan!

YYinhuaioI was amazed from the moment I entered the gate. There are surprises everywhere. There is also this natural wabi-sabi style B&B in Baisha. The front yard is very natural as a whole. Every place is just right for me. Where is it really? Every shot without any processing is perfect. What’s even more surprising is the backyard, which has a wooden house, a bonfire, and a large platform. You can lie on a deck chair and relax while facing the snow-capped mountains. It’s really comfortable to stay in any B&B anywhere. Once you arrive at the B&B, you stay there all the time to relax. It’s really I don't want to go anywhere. The bedding in the room is very comfortable. Because I came here in winter, the temperature is still relatively low at night. The whole room is very comfortable with floor heating. Every experience reflects the careful layout of the B&B. Everything used is carefully designed. It is designed and very comfortable to use. Such a treasure B&B is really rare. This trip is relatively short and I will leave after one day. Next time I come to Lijiang to stay a few more days, I will come to the B&B to relax. Highly recommended.
PS: The store manager is super nice. I was tired from walking around Baisha Ancient Town, so I made a special trip to the ancient town to pick me up. When I arrived at the B&B, the butler’s service was very enthusiastic, and the B&B was great value for money. Give you likes 👍

Llittle-cloudWe stayed at Stone Hotel 石头厝 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! I am so glad we discovered it after searching on Trip.com for quite a while. We were looking for a hotel in Lijiang that is quiet and peaceful, with views of Yulong Snow Mountain, and has the modern comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel.
The hotel is located outside of Lijiang town, approximately 30-40min drive, and right next to Yuhu Village. If we needed to go anywhere, the hotel provides a car drop-off service in a luxurious MPV. It’s also easy to call a car on DiDi.
The room is beautifully designed with elements of copper and wood, blending modern and traditional. The bed and pillows are among the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Being a city girl, I’m delighted with the Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speaker, and Aesop hand soap! The free mini fridge is stocked with beer, Perrier sparkling water, soft drinks, and if not enough, just pop over to the restaurant where the fridge and fruit bar is open and free all day! The amazing variety of fruits are the sweetest I’ve tasted, all grown locally. Even the nuts are sweet, I think they roast them in some sweet milk. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes but we had hotpot every dinner just because the soup is so delicious and the meats so tender. At dinner, the Naxi brothers will drink a toast and sing for every guest as their way of welcoming the guests and treating them as friends. If you dare to, try their local herbal/fruit alcohol (very strong!) We also love that for breakfast, they serve a selection of local side dishes which we enjoyed trying.
Their concierge/front desk team welcomed us warmly even before arriving (via WeChat), and supported us very well throughout our stay. The whole experience of coordinating airport pickup and booking their various activities and amenities (afternoon tea, evening drink, dinner, car) was seamless and fast. Before going out, the front desk staff always makes sure that we are well equipped for the day with water, umbrella, oxygen, chocolates. All the staff are always happy and friendly, making us feel like we are friends because the service is so personalized. We chatted with many of them and had the chance to learn a little about each of them, their lives and their culture. They know that we love playing with their dogs and the little lamb DuoDuo, and gave us many chances to play with them and even feed little DuoDuo. One can feel that they love their work there.
After leaving, we are still missing little DuoDuo, the amazing staff and warm hospitality, and the comfortable room. I’ve traveled to many places, and this is one of the rare times where I miss the place and the people so much. We highly recommend Stone Hotel 石头厝 to anyone visiting Lijiang! And I hope we have to chance to come back and stay with them again.

TTuernaiThis time I traveled to Yuhu Village in Lijiang. I was originally disappointed with the popular B&Bs on the Internet. I have been cheated several times by B&Bs that appeared in various Internet photos. After being recommended by a friend, I finally booked Houyuan in Yuhu Village. It really gave the trip a big surprise. The five-star hotel is exquisite yet exudes the warmth of home. I was worried that I would be bored in the mountains, but I ended up participating in the ”Nature Class” at the homestay. After the walk, I was able to recognize several alpine plants. It was a pity that I didn't get to see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” due to the weather, but it was really worth it to be able to quietly stare at the bottom of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and drink a cup of coffee.
The predecessor of Houyuan was the ”Xuesong Inn” in Yuhu Village founded in 1999. It was once a hidden B&B recommended by ”Lonely Planet”. In fact, it is the old courtyard next door and the owner's old house. I didn't pay any attention to it when I passed by during the day. In the evening, the owner took out several large albums of messages to introduce them to us. There were photos and letters from all over the world in them, which really amazed us.
I had breakfast and dinner at the B&B. I think they were the two most comfortable meals I had this time. There was no excessive seasoning, but the ingredients were so good. Vegetables, tomatoes and chicken were all cooked in the simplest way, with the taste of childhood. In the restaurant, the boss kept feeding me and was always concerned about whether the amount was enough.
Will come again, highly recommended!

Watching the snow-capped peaks slowly transform from steely grey to shimmering gold, with the first rays of light touching my face, it felt as if even the wind held its breath. This sheer, majestic grandeur is a moment no filter could ever hope to capture.
The evening bonfire party truly embodied the most vibrant and authentic local atmosphere. As dusk settled, the bonfire by the entrance sprang to life. Naxi aunties led everyone in traditional 'datiao' dances, the firewood crackled merrily, and songs mixed with laughter echoed up the hillside. We drank local rice wine and joined the circle, feeling the day's serene tranquility transition seamlessly into the lively energy of the night.
From the 'Golden Mountain' at dawn to the late-night bonfire, from the stunning mountain views from our room to the fresh scent of flora and fauna with every breath, this place perfectly blends the refined elegance of 'French-inspired rustic luxury' with the genuine, untouched spirit of Lijiang's wilderness. It creates a compelling reason to want to return and stay here again and again. Next time I visit Lijiang, I'll definitely be staying here again!

While the facilities are adequate, the layout lacks privacy. For instance, to use the cabin's toilet, all curtains on the first level must be closed. Additionally, the toilet bowl is situated behind stairs without any curtains, potentially allowing others in the cabin to see. Moreover, the second-level flooring consists of planks with numerous gaps, providing visibility to the first level, including the bathtub and toilet bowl.
I strongly advise against booking this accommodation for families with children due to the safety risk posed by the sliding doors on the second level, which lack safety measures. While they offer a unique view of the mountain, the danger of potential falls is significant. If you do choose to consider it as a family cabin, I recommend checking with the staff to lock the doors from the outside for added safety.
Despite the unexpected aspects mentioned above, our overall stay was still decent. The staff were hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. Communication was convenient via WeChat for check-in details, recommendations, and self-checkout. It seems that the camping style of accommodation was a selling point, it’s definitely a unique stay. I’m sure there’s a specific crowd that would fully enjoy the experience.
