The room itself was large and clean, but the smell of cigarette smoke was extremely strong, both in the hallway and inside the room. Even taking the elevator or trying to sleep was very uncomfortable. I understand this may be common in China, but for me it was particularly unpleasant.
The location was also inconvenient. We had to take a Didi every morning very early and return late at night, which made getting around tiring.
A positive aspect was the small market located under the hotel, run by a very kind family. I’m not sure if they were also connected to the hotel, but they were friendly, welcoming, and made an effort to communicate with us despite the language barrier. However. I was satisfied with the stay, but I probably wouldn’t choose this place again, mainly because of the location. Shenzhen is extremely large, and it’s hard to realize the distances until you’re there. Please, make smoking forbidden, it’s a nightmare!
