Shenzhen Poxi Hotel (Shenzhen Bay Houhai)

The room was clean and well-maintained, with a great city view. It had all the amenities I needed, and the service was excellent. Plus, it's very close to nearby attractions.

I have to commend the hotel staff for their incredible thoughtfulness. My child had a fever, and they immediately provided a thermometer and fever patches. They didn't rush us during our late check-out. They responded promptly to my messages in the middle of the night and were always on hand when called, bringing extra blankets and slippers. They even reminded us to take the complimentary milk and drinks. The value for money here is exceptional. The hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to access food and attractions. It's close to the border, and the subway entrance is right downstairs, offering convenient access to various districts and a direct B2 line to the airport in just half an hour. Talent Park is also nearby, perfect for relaxing and sunbathing.

Traveling with friends, this hotel really wasn't worth the price. There's a Kempinski hotel just 200 meters away. The facilities here feel more like what you'd find in a 200 RMB-a-night hotel. Families with kids should definitely avoid this place.

I only found out this hotel room had no windows when I checked in! The front desk told me the window was in the hallway, but Trip.com didn't mention this, and even stated there were large floor-to-ceiling windows. It's ridiculous to pay over 500 for a room with no window. Luckily, the kind lady at the front desk upgraded my room, which is how I ended up with the room in the picture. Trip.com, can you please be stricter with your hotel room agents? Or with the hotels themselves? So often the rooms I book through your site don't match the description... either there are no windows, or the room size the hotel provides is different from what's described on Trip.com, or even the room and floor aren't what I booked! Money is hard to come by these days. I've encountered so many instances like this with rooms under 500 a night, I'm now genuinely scared to book hotels on Trip.com within mainland China.

Extremely satisfied! The room was spotless and equipped with smart home features. Despite being in the city center, the soundproofing was excellent. We stayed in a 'sunshine room' and enjoyed the dazzling city lights outside. The hotel is right in the heart of Houhai, and the subway entrance is conveniently located next to the lobby. A very satisfying stay overall!
