Facilities: The hotel has its own parking, both above ground and underground. I recommend parking above ground, as the entrance and exit of the underground parking are quite narrow and might challenge your driving skills. As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted with the ambiance of a five-star hotel. Although it's a bit old, twenty years ago this hotel was definitely one of the best in Shenzhen. There's a 7-Eleven right in the lobby. The room design is traditional five-star, but the facilities are quite dated, though everything you need is available.
Cleanliness: Despite its age, the hygiene is excellent; the floors are very clean.
Environment: The location is directly opposite the old Shenzhen Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk from Luohu Port.
Service: On the night of check-in, we were upgraded to a suite with views of the railway station and the port.
This hotel hosted dignitaries from various countries in the 90s, a classic five-star establishment. The only minor points are that the living room lighting in the suite was a bit dim, though the bedroom was fine. The bathroom had a 'Hong Kong style' feel (with cooler lighting).
