Andaz Shenzhen Bay

Great experience at Shenzhen Bay! I spent one day at Andaz for the new Year holiday and had a great time with my partner. - Room: well-furnished room with large space and all facilities you need. The view of Shenzhen Bay is the best! - Location: next to Shenzhen Bay MIXC mall, good accessibility with quite environment. And you can find good cuisines & shops in the mall. - Staff: The staff here are professional and friendly. The check-in and check-out process is simple and convenient, and tea & cookies are provided while waiting. - Other facilities: the club lounge is free for check-in guests -- tasty desserts & snacks! The gym is large and have multi-functional equipments, but I didn't have time to try it. I would strongly recommend it and would definitely choose it for my next trip.

I was not too impressed with this hotel compared to the others I see on the review page. First I requested a late checkout and was given a 2 pm checkout time but others I see on the feedback that they can have late checkout until 8 pm the next day - not that I really need such a late checkout time but it would be nice to offer. Secondly, my city view room was just a view of a construction site, nothing special to brag about. Although the hotel is quite nice and clean, it is just not as “grand” for the price you paid - the lobby was small and the happy hour lounge was not even worth mentioning. From reading the reviews, I was hoping that they would go out of their way to make you feel special, maybe I was expecting too much……. I can barely give an overall 3 half stars on this hotel. Sorry for all those people that give such a high mark but that is just my honest two cents.

Great option for a staycation. Booked the panoramic view room for two nights over the October national holiday. Like other Andaz properties, the decor was unique but still tasteful. No loud guests and no unaccounted for children running around. All the staff (concierge, dining, housekeeping) were extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was clean and had all the amenities you can think of. The layout also made sense, no weird furniture placement. The minibar was stocked with local drinks and a good variety of snacks and there were many options for room service. The gym was clean, routinely sanitized, and the stationary machines were nicely spaced. There were also a set of free weights and kettlebells. If you want a space for yoga, there’s a sectioned off room in the middle as well. Buffet breakfast is in the East restaurant space and provided the typical options along with a menu to order from. Not much to do around the area except the new Talent Park (has an exhibition hall) and the new Shenzhen Bay MixC mall that mainly has luxury brands (Goyard, Harry Winston, Loewe etc). If you’re willing to walk, about 20 minutes away is Coastal City for affordable shopping and food options. The closest subway station is Houhai with access to the 11 and 2/8 lines. Andaz Shenzhen Bay is perfect for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of Futian/Nanshan.
