Shizunai Eclipse Hotel

We stayed here while touring the farm. From the front, you'll be excited by the appearance that befits the hometown of racehorses. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and it was as delicious as rumored, and the view was great, so we were very satisfied. I also appreciated the rice ball service for lunch.

I was looking for a place to stay overnight during the Obon period and only chose it based on the price, but I was satisfied. Although the building and facilities were not new, it was clean and had all the amenities (including individually wrapped lotions, makeup remover, and face wash for women), making it a comfortable stay. The service of rice balls that could be eaten as lunch (they gave them to me at breakfast) and the idea that the breakfast ticket was a horse racing ticket were also really nice. The buffet-style breakfast has a wide range of options, from salads to desserts, and side dishes include steamed vegetables, tempura, cooked rice, pork soup, pickles, and more. It was a lineup that made you want to try a little bit of everything!Personally, the home-made thick fried egg and pickles were a hit. It was a hotel that I would definitely want to come back to if I ever come to Shinhidaka Town again. Only one. The drinks in the vending machine in the elevator hall were not cold at all, and the carbonated drinks and tea came out at room temperature...

My husband and I are horse racing fans, so we used it. My wife wanted to stay in Melody Lane's room, but she was disappointed because she couldn't make a reservation. So I had booked another room. However, the staff kindly changed my stay to Melody Lane's room! (Apparently, when we checked, it was already reserved, but for some reason it became available.) It was a really great memory. Thank you. I had dinner at the restaurant on the 9th floor, but it was very delicious and I was very satisfied. The night view was also beautiful. You can also rent a bicycle, so it is recommended for those who want to see the ranch nearby. (You need to make a reservation for the ranch in advance at the Furusato Information Center.) However, it's a bit far from Sapporo by bus, 4 hours one way, so I thought it would be tough unless you're a big fan. (I don't think there's anything I can do about this...)

The service and breakfast are very good. The facility is a little old, but there is no problem. As for the breakfast, the amount and taste of surprise was good as rumored.

I think it can't be helped because it was extremely hot due to the abnormal weather, but the air conditioner was old and not working as well. There was no safety deposit box, so I was unable to manage my valuables. The meal (dinner) at the restaurant was delicious as expected.

The hotel is old and looks like a business hotel. At check-in, there was no trolley to put our suitcases on, so we had to bring them from the back at the front desk. I thought it would be convenient to have a trolley near the entrance. It was a comfortable bed. I decided to have a seafood bowl for dinner, thinking it would be light, but the balance between the amount of rice and the seafood was poor.To be honest, there weren't many ingredients, no salmon roe, no sea urchin, and only lean tuna. There was no sense of excitement and I wanted a way to use the bounty of Hokkaido's sea. Breakfast was very good with homemade items that you can see is popular. Also, the vegetable pickles were colorful and beautiful. I really wanted to eat it, but I couldn't eat any other side dishes with a whole cucumber, so I gave up. It might be a good idea to make it a half size. At the end of the meal, a staff member escorted us to the elevator and greeted us politely. I was impressed by the hospitality of a high-class hotel.

The surrounding restaurants were full, so we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and the service was good, the food was delicious, and we were able to spend a relaxing time. In particular, the lamb shabu was voluminous and delicious! Breakfast was also very satisfying! I thoroughly enjoyed the taste of the bag!
