Oku-Mikawa・Yuya Onsen HAZU Bekkan

The hotel is amazing. We stayed for one night, got a lot of impressions. The room was very spacious, consisting of two rooms. One room had places to admire the forest and the mountain river! The room had thermoses with hot and cold water, two types of tea and a set for brewing. A set of clothes (yukata, socks). A refrigerator, air conditioner, air purifier or humidifier. In the evening, while we were having dinner, they made our beds, we slept like logs) The kaiseki dinner was amazing, very diverse tastes, we ate until we burst, to be honest. Breakfast was also very rich! The hot springs are very nice, only 3 types, 1 of them in the open air. The only thing is that one was very hot for me, I could not even go into it, but I sat in the others with pleasure. The hotel owners are very nice and sweet, they met us, gave us tea and sweets, showed us where we could walk and have lunch (we arrived before check-in). The village itself is very picturesque, it's nice to walk around the area!

This is a ryokan in the Hazu Group located in Yuya Onsen. When staying at Hazuki, you can take a bath in this open-air bath nearby. This open-air bath has a great atmosphere and the view and sound of the mountain stream. You can lose track of time while bathing.

We stayed on New Year's Day. The inn was hard to find, and we ended up at the HAZU inn by mistake. When we arrived, we were given matcha and Japanese sweets. The inn was built 70 years ago. The room keys and windows had a Showa-era feel to them. The bath was a brownish color, with a lot of iron in it. Men and women alternate between day and night. The bath didn't leave my skin feeling smooth. The open-air bath was nice, as I could look at the river. It was necessary to climb up and down the steep stairs, so it would be tough if you weren't in good shape. (They carried my suitcase for me.) There was only one shared toilet, which was Western-style. In the evening, they served hot pot dishes. Breakfast was New Year's dishes. It was delicious. There was a koto performance on the first floor, and we enjoyed the elegant atmosphere while drinking the complimentary tea and coffee. Our room didn't have a toilet or a sink, which was inconvenient, so I gave it a minus one. At night, when I got into bed, the hot water bottle was warm until morning. It was my first time staying at such an emotional inn, and it was refreshing. Next time, I would like to stay in a room with a toilet. The staff were very considerate and it was a memorable inn.
