Toyota Shirakawa-go Eco-Institute is a nice place for you to explore the forest pard of Shirakawa-go. They offer a free forest walk tour which can let you know about the diversity of the area. The 6 course French dinner is nice and the bread served in breakfast was lovely. The room is relatively small but the bed is comfortable. Will recommend this place for those who are looking for exploring Shirakawa-go.

That is a beautiful&good place, suitable for family vacations. Many activities there.
The staff are warm and attentive.
The room and bathroom are clean, beautiful and spacious.
The bed is soft and comfortable.

The French set dinner was really delicious and buffet breakfast is good too. Very spacious room and happy with onsen facilities .

The building quality is very neat and clean. The dinner course and breakfast buffet are amazing. The staff are very polite and helpful. There are a lot of family activities you can do here. The hotel located a little bit far from the village, but that's make the hotel environment very quiet and dedicated. If you insist to go to the village, you can ask the staff for a shuttle bus service. There is no private bathroom in my booked room. Maybe the hotel offered you only hot spring bathing (Onsen). The wifi is not that good when there are many guest in the hotel. If you ok with hot spring bathing, do not have any business in the village and do not require internet connection while living, this is very good hotel to stay and enjoy the Shirakawa-go vibe.

I like this hotel very much. There is a snow field for playing in the snow, outdoor hot springs, snow hiking... The dinner is very exquisite and delicious😋
The hotel is in the mountains and forests. You can make an appointment for the hotel's special car to pick you up when you arrive. I will stay here again next time.
