El Questro Wilderness Park is a unique holiday destination. A working cattle station with a herd of approximately 5000, El Questro provides a truly Australian holiday experience. A million acres in size, El Questro is located in Western Australia's untamed Kimberley, and extends for approximately 80 kilometres into the heart of the region, most of which has never been explored.El Questro Wilderness Park offers unrivalled access to the far reaches of the Kimberley. Go barramundi fishing, set out on a horse trek, or explore remote areas by helicopter. Boating the Chamberlain Gorge, a magnificent fresh waterhole bound by tropical vegetation belittled by towering 200 foot escarpments, is also a must.Show More

In our opinion, best gorge on the Gibb! Not as difficult (compared to Manning and El Questro) and best ‘pay off’. Stunning waterfall, beautiful big pool to swim in, crystal clear waters and thermal pool! So worth the effort! A couple little water crossing but nothing that you get wet for. A few snakes along the trail but they move away quickly. Bring water and best to do early!

We arrived just as the resort had been briefly shut due to bushfires. Emma gorge walk re-opened the day we left. Smoke and smouldering ashes everywhere. It was 34 degrees during the day, so very hot in the tents. Tents are not the most spacious or glamorous”glamping” we’ve tried, but good enough. And prefer over station options we saw. Pool was very welcome and refreshing. Restaurant alacarte much better than the steak restaurant at El Questro station (very tough steak sandwiches). Staff were great at Emma gorge and the station, we did an absolutely fabulous sunset 4wd safari tour with Dan. It was great fun. And made our stay. Would return but in June when it should be cooler.

Loved out 3 nights here. So peaceful and accomodation really embraced the surroundings. A great base for the area. Pool wasn’t operational when we were visiting but that didn’t hinder us as there a plenty of beautiful places to have a dip, Emma Gorge, Zebedee Springs and Amalia Gorge were the main attractions open whilst we were there. All are a must offering different experiences. We dined at both Emma Gorge and then popped over to El Questro for a dinner also.

El Questro Emmas Gorge was a wonderful place to stay -- although the hike to the gorge was much harder than I expected (my husband and I are in our 70s). But definitely worth the visit. We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer.

I spent only one night at this accommodation and I feel I truly missed out but as I had a fall and needed medical attention I asked for assistance to Kununurra Hospital. The manager drove me completely out of his way to the hospital, took my bag and some food to the resort in town and made sure I was settled in ED. It was a beautiful place and I am sorry I could not experience more of it.

We spent two nights here - it is a lovely quiet spot and convenient for the Emma Gorge Walk. However, it is a bit of a drive to the Station and many of the other walks and activities on El Questro. and you really need a 4WD for the star crossings before the station. The "tents" are fine - bit hot but the fan helped and they cool down at night. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and expresso coffee is available at the bar during the day. Dinner is a buffet not a la carte and there are some big groups. The food is a bit expensive but OK - better one night that the other. Unfortunately, food such as barramundi is not suited to be kept in a bain marie. The setting is lovely . Breakfast was a bit disappointing - ordinary selection of food especially cereals and foods that ran out not replaced unless asked. Only instant coffee available unless you pay extra for expresso. We had a salad for lunch one day - that was a la carte and quite good. All in all - fine but not as good a Bundle Bungle Savannah Lodge.

If you are looking to book with these guys make sure you are 100% going to get there. They show 0 compassion to guests who have been affected by the pandemic and cant make it. Our son tested positive the day before we were meant to fly to Kununurra. So we did the right thing and called and cancelled our accommodation only to be told that we were going to loose the entire amount of $466 as that's part of the T&C whereby they don't refund or offer credit. No amount of pleading with the reservation desk on the grounds that we were a young family, hard working and the money lost is sizeable , made any difference. All we got was an indifferent , standardised apology with no remorse in taking our money and offering no service in return. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. We are trying to support the tourism industry here in WA and you just engaged in day light robbery! and you wonder why people choose to holiday elsewhere. Most places offer refund or credits ...oh but not you guys!!! Travelers BEWARE!!!

This was a wonderful place to capture the sheer nature of the Emma Gorge itself. The food at the restaurant was fantastic with mouth watering beef brisket served with a smile. The glamping style tents were underwhelming - no bar fridge, no hanging space and no security as no key given to lock door while away from our tent. If you are over 170 cms in height you need to duck when going in shower else you will hit part of your head - the shower recess is far too low. Overall worth staying for the 3 nights but some improvements need to be done on glamping tents.

We visited Emma Gorge Resort for the day. Impressed by the verdant surrounds, soothing, service great by Cafe staff and the Retail Store at Visitor Centre. Rebecca (great gal from Echuca) and Storme (smiling service from Banff Canada) are so friendly with all. Even met Cam and Holly, Park Rangers , looking after the environment and engaging with visitors. Great experience
