Zhangzhou Hotels with Airport Shuttle

"This must be my worst stay in a hotel for the last 3 years. The rooms are huge but their sound proof is so bad that when anyone on the same floor closes his door, my room door quakes. So you can imagine how you feel when you are in deep sleep and you are suddenly awaken by a loud bang. Every so often. Middle of the night.  Secondly, the aircon in the room continuously blew cold air. Seems this is the setting of their central aircon and my room was an icy 20 degrees throughput. Location wise, it is near the old town but not so near that you can easily walk. Yes there are limited public buses but limited services near the hotel and their frequency leaves much to be desired. Your best bet is go for ride hailing. Fortunately these are very affordable and the city of Zhangzhou is small. Safety box in the room did not work. And yes I did follow the operating instructions  On the plus side, hotel has outdoor hot spring pools but I didn’t try them as the weather was too cold. Manager apologised profusely and tried to compensate us with fruits and bottled water. In my mind it did not make up for 4 nights of poor quality sleep."

"I came to Zhangzhou with my wife and chose this homestay hidden in the ancient city. As soon as you enter the door, you will be attracted by various puppet decorations. We chose a room with a private hot spring. The hot spring pool on the balcony faces the cobblestone street. At night, while soaking in the hot spring and watching the lanterns light up, it felt like we had fallen into an old movie. The housekeeper contacted us one day in advance and helped us carry our luggage when we arrived at the store. He was very considerate. Must praise the geographical location! Going downstairs is the main street of the ancient city, and snacks such as carrot cake and four-fruit soup are just a few steps away. While strolling around, I happened to come across a glove puppet show. The master puppeteer was controlling the puppets to fight with his fingers flying, and it was very vivid and lifelike. It was a kind of easter egg on the journey. The only drawback is that the old wooden building has average sound insulation. In the early morning, you can hear the jingle of bicycles passing by, but it does add to the fun of the city. (Tips: Private bath rooms are cost-effective, but they need to be booked early during peak season; if you like taking photos, it is recommended to bring cheongsam or Hanfu. The lanterns by the window and the carved bed are beyond the picture!)"

"This time Zhangzhou short trip chose the right hotel! The swing room I stayed in was a treasure. From the door, I was amazed to the log-color swing in the center of the room. The rattan-woven seat was equipped with a soft cushion. The child cheered and swayed as soon as he saw it. The sun sprinkled through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The swaying room was full of childishness. The service was super intimate. When checking in, the front desk took the initiative to send the children mosquito repellent bracelet, and reminded the precautions for the use of the swing. The room facilities are very new, the smart home is convenient to control, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and even the toiletries are lightly fragrant. The most surprising thing is the experience. During the day, I took my baby to read picture books on the swing, play games, play five-piece chess, and the floor-to-ceiling American windows swayed to see the stars at night. The child said ”like living in a fairy tale.” Hotel location is good, it is convenient to go to the scenic spot and the snack street, the surrounding area is tired, and it is particularly comfortable to rest on the swing. "I have stayed at quite a few Wanda hotels in the past and always had a pleasant experience but the past two days were anything but pleasant. I had a two night stay in Zhangzhou Wanda Realm from the 22nd of January to the 24th of January. I have listed my grievances below. 1. Air-conditioning does not work. My room was a constant temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and even after turning on the air conditioning did the temperature not go down. I had to ask the hotel to open a window to decrease the temperature and thus let polluted air into the room. 2. I booked an executive room knowing that I would receive some benefits. Not only was the executive lounge closed but as stated in the notice, they requested we use the hotel lobby bar which was also closed. I paid 850RMB per night for this room. If I am not going to have the benefits of an executive room at least refund me. 3. Swimming pool times have drastically decreased to limited times. I know that this is Chinese New year but isn't this the time when the hotel would receive most of its guests and thus have all the amenities ready and working to make a guest stay very pleasant. 4. Breakfast buffet was below standard of a 4 star hotel. Not only was the selection of foods extremely basic but the food was severely under stock. One would think that a four star hotel would be able to plan for a busy time like Chinese New year but no, there was limited food on basic items like eggs and bacon. Staff were not prepared for such large amounts of people. 5. It seems like this hotel is closing down as many water features and other amenities are either out of order or not working properly. It is an embarrassment to call this hotel a luxury hotel. It has the facade of a luxury hotel but cannot deliver on basic amenities. Please see my photos for evidence of my unpleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and tried to help where they can but it would be better to close down this hotel than call it a luxury 4 star hotel."

"This newly opened hotel really dug up a treasure, must give five stars praise! The service is too comfortable, and there is welcome fruit. I want to add a pillow at night, and I will send it a few minutes after contacting the front desk. The whole attitude is particularly good. The bedding in the room was just soft and hard, and I fell asleep before lying down, which was better than sleeping at home. The equipment is all brand new, but the room has no pungent decoration smell at all. I live with special confidence and can feel that I have dealt with the smell with real care. The location is also great, I took a lot of photos along the park, and it is very convenient to go back to the hotel after visiting the ancient city at night. In short, this stay experience is full, the new hotel can do this is too rare, I will choose here next time!"

"Over the years I have stayed a number of times at Crowne Plaza. It 's very good option if staying downtown, especially it just several minutes from Wanda plaza. The hotel is located close to where we need to be and the we love the rate for breakfast and parking. The hotel staff Cythina was friendly and helpful to handle my booking. Will be back again for future visit in Zhangzhou and recommend this place!"

"Facilities: The newly renovated one looks comfortable, but it is a bit out of the way. Hygiene: Newly renovated, hygienic is OK. Environment: The hotel is surrounded by warehouses and is a bit messy and noisy sometimes. Service: The service lady needs to be better trained. Communication seems to be difficult: I asked her to get a power card but she couldn't give me one. When I asked her about the check-out time, she was very rigid and said that the hotel stipulates 12:00. I told her that the time I booked on Ctrip stated that the latest time was 14:00. It feels like the service staff is scheming and has poor service awareness, which naturally makes the hotel experience uncomfortable. The breakfast is also average, and the overall cost performance is not high!"

"Advantages: 1. The hotel is new, the facilities are new, the quality is high, and there is no odor when staying; 2. The price and accommodation conditions are very cost-effective; 3. If you bring your children with you, you will get a small doll as a gift when you check in; 4. There is a refrigerator for you to bring your own drinks, coffee, tea, and 4 bottles of mineral water are provided free of charge. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are all brand new packaging. Disadvantages: 1. I checked in at 2:50 pm, but the front desk only gave me one room. They explained that the other room could not be cleaned and it would take another hour. Because I booked 2 rooms in full on Ctrip one week in advance, the hotel should have cleaned and reserved the paid rooms in advance, instead of explaining that the cleaning was not done after the guests arrived and making them wait for the rooms. 2. Check-in took too long. It took almost 20 minutes to check in for two rooms. During the check-in process, I was still waiting at the counter when a guest came in and threw a room card in. The front desk checked him out and asked him to get a parking card, etc. They totally ignored the order of service. It was very unprofessional. 3. There was no welcome fruit when I entered the room. I told the staff on the same floor and they said they would arrange it right away. But when I came back a few hours later, there was still no fruit. Finally, I called the front desk and they arranged for the fruit to be delivered. Shouldn't the guest be notified of the fruit delivery as soon as check-in is confirmed? Why do they have to contact us twice? 4. The bathroom trash can has no bag or lid. In a confined space, the odor in the trash can will come out after a long time, which really loses points~ 5. The hotel is newly renovated, and the windows are on the side, so you can only open a small gap. There is a noticeable decoration smell when you sleep at night, and the sour smell of formaldehyde and glue is quite strong 6. The room temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius that day. Because the room was not ventilated, it was stuffy. As a result, the air conditioner only blew out normal temperature air, and I sweated a lot. However, the heating was normal. 7. Booking a room with buffet breakfast on Ctrip costs an additional 69 yuan per person. As I was not sure about the itinerary at that time, I did not choose breakfast. Later, I went to the store to ask the front desk, and they said I had to pay 128 yuan per person. I said that the Ctrip booking was 69 yuan per person. The front desk changed the words and said that the on-site booking at the front desk would be more than 80 yuan. I asked if they could give me the Ctrip price. The front desk said that the on-site booking would be more than 80 yuan, or you could go out and experience the breakfast in Zhangzhou by yourself. The tone of voice at that time was a bit choking, which made people feel very uncomfortable. PS: I saw many reviews from Ctrip users, some said they received breakfast coupons, and those with children also upgraded their rooms. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch any of them~ In general, the hardware conditions are good, the software services still need to keep up, and the odor from the decoration still needs to be removed~"
