Since it was the only 5 star hotel in town, we thought it can’t be that bad. Well, we were mistaken.
First, the location was 5-6km out of old town, which takes you around 10-15 mins by uber to get to.
Secondly, the rooms and amenities were so outdated and old, even the safe was from the 80s. The beds were squeaky and there was mold on the side of the bathtub.
But last but not least, I want to emphasize on the rudeness of the hotel staff. I called for a toothbrush late in the evening and had to wait for 10 mins before someone even picked up the phone. He told me he couldn’t speak English so he put me on hold… after 3 mins someone just hung up the phone. I called back and asked why they hung up on me and the English speaking guy insisted I hung up myself and I should not be so bluntly asking him such a question.
Generally the hotel is very very old and the staff super unprofessional.
