Super lovely Riad with the best service! We had the room at the top - almost a private space to our own, and loved the surrounding views from our balcony. Hot tub was a plus in the cold weather. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay - wished we could have stayed longer!

The environment is very elegant, the breakfast is rich, it is right on the edge of Medina, the location is very easy to find, very close to the parking lot, and a 20-minute walk to the port. The waiters enthusiastically helped with the luggage. There is also a big turtle in the hotel, which the children like very much.

A charming little riad with a fountain and garden open to the sky in the middle. The rooms are simply but elegantly appointed. The host brought up our bags and carefully explained everything about the room and procedures, then refused a tip saying it was his pleasure. We relaxed in the roof top hot tub and watched the sunset before retiring for the night. Our room had a roomy deep soaking tub, lots of hot water and fresh rose petals strewn all around the bathing area. A super comfy bed and delicious breakfast with real croissants. What more could you want?

This place is truly special and amazing! We were staying a week in Essaouira and split our time between staying in town and outside of town at jJardin De Dours. This Riad was so incredible, we really wish that we would have stayed longer and can't wait to go back. They helped us with everything from a perfect dinner- don't miss having a meal here- it was soooo good- to restaurants, camel rides, ATV, and hamman/massages. The staff was beyond accommodating. Also, the location was perfect! It was easy to get around and we felt like we were living in a movie with how cool the town was. Essaouria is a must visit and was our favorite place in Morrocco- literally a dream. We have never visited anyplace like here, which makes it so special. Definitely go, stay here- and book the ATV and camel ride for sure!! Finally, I read a couple nights is fine for Essaouria, I highly suggest a minimum of 4 nights, there is so much to see and do here, 2 is not enough in our opinion. Thank you Riad Chbanate for the best memories!

Beautiful riad, friendly staff, a lovely stay! I stayed in three roads on my recent trip to Morocco and this was my favorite. Good location, very welcoming staff, atmospheric common areas, comfortable in every way. I had a very nice room and fine food in the riad restaurant, and I even got to enjoy some Casablanca beer there (most restos have neither beer nor wine). I would have been happy to stay longer and if I go back to Essouaira I would make a point of staying here again.

We have just spent a week at this stunning Riad, we took up 5 or their rooms, each one absolutely beautiful. The staff were so attentive, the rooms cleared to perfection daily, lovely meals in the morning and evening. The Riad is in a great position, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the Port and markets with a fabulous roof top terrace to enjoy your mint tea and nuts - if we are ever in Essaouira again we will definitely be staying at Riad Chbanate.

Extremely beautiful hotel, with well appointed bedroom suites! Enormous marble baths, clean towels daily, rooms cleaned to a very high class. Breakfasts were fantastic from fresh juices, to crepes, eggs of any description, croissants, yoghurt and fruit. Great Moroccon Tagines, Cous Cous Royal, plus suitable food for the children too. Helpful and caring staff. Nothing was too much bother! A peaceful rooftop terrace for some peace and quiet too! Would return again and again!!

One of the best places we have ever stayed at in our 30 years of travel. Beautiful decor & furnishings, very clean and welcoming and friendly staff. Relaxing and stylish! In a lovely, quaint seaside town. Finished our trip in Morocco here, staying 4 nights and what a way to end a trip in such a colourful country. When relaxing in the afternoon soothing music would play in this Riad which we enquired about and still listen to. Had dinner here the 1st night which was good. Breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely return to stay here.
