I was directed to this property through Rick Steves lodging recommendation in his book on Italy. It is steps away from the city center with great restaurants nearby. The hostess was so nice. The room was very clean and decorated with antiques. I would stay at the Palazzo Masi again if visiting Siena.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in September 2023. First of all, Daniela and Alizzardo have set a new bar for hospitality for me. She greeted us by waving out the second-floor window and telling us where to go. Upon arrival, she ushered us to sit with her at the table so she could show us the Siena map and explain where we were in relation to everything and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. She seemed sincere and interested in our trip so far and where we were going next. She and Alizzardo were so sweet and welcoming, honestly, it felt like being welcomed by my own mother. She tried to help us order a taxi for when we left, but unfortunately, there were none to be had due to a bicycle event that was happening. The morning we left she and Alizzardo insisted on carrying my luggage down the stairs and sent us on our way with some freshly baked treats. The room itself was really comfortable and well-appointed. There's a booklet in the room that explains the history which is really impressive. Daniela and Alizzardo take such pride in their building and rooms and are great caretakers of preserving the historical elements. We stayed in the 2nd floor superior double room with a private (exterior) bathroom. There were two other rooms on our floor, but they had their own bathrooms in their rooms, so we never encountered anyone when going to our bathroom down the hall. It was nice and quiet and dark at night, which surprisingly was a challenge to find at the other Italian hotels we stayed at. We loved Palazzo Masi, we can't recommend it highly enough.

The hosts were so lovely and responded within moments of any inquiries. They helped me with luggage, restaurant reservations, and each day checked in to see if there was anything I needed. The location is perfect, the view from my lace curtained window charming. All you need & want is very close by. Easy taxi ride to & from the station (Daniella helped with that too!). If you want quiet, ask for a room in in the back, but I loved hearing all the Italian life outside my window! Can't wait to revisit!

From the time we were welcomed by Daniela and Alizzardo, we felt part of the family and living in a home. Only five minutes from the Campo and the Duomo and yet in a quiet street away from tourist bustle. Huge room, elegantly appointed. Two flights of stairs to scale.

We arrived here whilst on a road trip exploring Italy and Daniela and Alizzardo were incredibly helpful giving us directions for the local parking (Il Campo) which was a clean and safe underground car park (discounted by staying at the Palazzo Masi) after the short walk up we were greeted by Daniela calling our names from high above their amazing property ! We were welcomed as if we were family and taken in to an amazing historic building (there are stairs to climb if you are packing heavy). Daniela and Alizzardo welcomed us with great English and gave us maps and all the information about the local area and what we could get up,recommendations for great food right on the doorstep too! This is also a PRIME property to stay for the Mille Miglia as the cars pass its front door !!! The room was super clean and had some antique furniture that complemented the whole experience. The view out of our window was breathtaking ,We wish we had stayed longer !

As their website says, the building is OLD. However that doesn't mean that the rooms are not modern and well furnished as well as comfortable. Be aware that there is no elevator so be prepared to drag your luggage up the stairs. Fortunately we traveled light, and after all stairs are good for you! Breakfast is not served at the B&B but rather at a little gelateria just down at the corner of the campo. You get vouchers which are good for a cornetto (crossant) and a coffee. It's standing room only which can be a problem when it's raining. The B&B couldn't be in a better location, about a block off Il Campo. The campo is ringed by restaurants so there are plenty of dining choices. The campo itself is spectacular. The rooms are spacious and airy. Ours overlooked the street but as it was rainy we weren't able to people watch from the window. There is a kettle provided but no coffee so we walked over to Nannini (a famous pastry and coffee shop) to buy some to make in the room. I loved laying in bed and looking at how the old building was put together something like 800 years ago. The ceiling beams above are exposed and quite beautiful to see. As a construction guy, I never get tired of looking at how things are built. We found this place in Rick Steves' Italy guidebook. Since we reserved the room direct as he recommended we received a warm welcome and a bottle of wine to settle us in. Speaking of Rick Steves I recommend his downloadable walking tour guide. It's fascinating and since it's on your phone you can go at your own pace. I find these downloadable guides to be a marvelous help and free too. Siena is the most walkable city I've ever been in, so the walk guide was the way to go. It's a relief not to be trudging along in a group following a person with a flag on a selfie stick.

My husband and I stayed at B&B Palazzo Masi for 3 nights in May, 2023. We stayed in one of the superior rooms on the 2nd floor. The room was very comfortable despite being in an 800-year old building. We loved being in this historic space furnished with antiques. There is no elevator to the rooms, so just be aware of stairs up to the room. The "breakfast" part is just coffee and pastry at a cafe around the corner - nothing too special. The location is great, just off the main square, il Campo. Easy walk to all the main attractions, although a bit of a walk from the train/bus station. Daniela was very welcoming and gave great recommendations for restaurants (and made reservation for us too!). She patiently waited for us running late from the bus station. And she graciously let the police force know about my lost phone, just in case it was found. She also arranged a cab for us to get back to the bus station when we departed. We highly recommend B&B Palazzo Masi.

The best location directly off the Campo with good restaurants within a few meters. Excellent communication and assistance. Very nice atmospheric rooms with street views. Would stay again.
