Simple but everything you need. Don’t expect anything more than a small room with a bed, shower and toilet. Price vs location is great for Singapore.
Location is great. Close to Chinatown hawker centre and public transport.

The man in the night reception do not know customer service. He shouldnt be placed there. He doesnt know customer service. I do not recommend this hotel.

The location very close to China town easy to go anywhere by MRT to the attractions place of Singapore.The local food court behind the hotel just across the road . The room has not the refrigerator but can refill drinking water at the lobby.

The location is great as I can easily stroll around Chinatown. However, the room that I stayed had a really low ceiling and both my son and I repeatedly knocked our heads on it when we crawled up to the top of the double decker bed.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We were driven to the Wangxian valley entrance and also got picked up for free - they even helped us buy the entrance tickets. The breakfast was also delicious. The Location of the hotel is just a 5 min drive from the Wangxian valley entrance.I highly recommend this accommodation.

Extremely Rude Front Desk Staff – Avoid This Hotel!👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
We had a terrible experience at Rest Hotel Chinatown, all because of one extremely rude front desk staff named Eddie Chua. My family was staying there for 3 nights (over $500 spent), and we had visited them multiple times without issue. However, one night around 10pm, this Eddie came knocking on the door asking how many people were inside. We told him there were 5, but explained clearly that 2 were just visitors who would leave before 11pm (which we knew was the policy).
Instead of handling the situation professionally, he snapped at us: “Did you register?!” We were confused — no one had ever told us visitors needed to register, and we had seen the front desk staff multiple times with no issue. If it’s a rule, fine, but it should’ve been communicated upfront.
I told him we were leaving shortly and asked if registration was still needed. He barked back in a hostile tone: “I don’t care if you’re leaving, you MUST register when you came.” I asked why no one told us earlier, and he just brushed it off, saying it’s not his problem. His tone and attitude were extremely aggressive and disrespectful — we are customers, not criminals!
To avoid escalating things, we went to the counter to register. He told us it would take 15 minutes, and when I asked if he could speed things up since our ride was arriving, he didn’t even respond — just gave us a death stare. After about 5 minutes, he returned our identity cards and said “thank you.” We thought he would still need time since he mentioned 15 minutes, so we waited. When our cab arrived and I asked if it was done, he *shouted* at me: “I told you done already!!” None of us heard him say that. Then he had the audacity to yell: “You can complain to management, but you can’t scold me!” What kind of staff says that to guests?🔥
The morning staff was very friendly and helpful, but Eddie Chua’s behavior completely ruined our impression of this hotel. His attitude was unacceptable and unprofessional. I do NOT recommend staying here — customer service should be a priority, and clearly, this hotel fails at that because of staff like him.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Cleanliness is okay.Location is great. But service is totally bad and rude by staff name Eddie Chua.He very rude to my family, saying after 10pm not allowed visitor, even I went to my family room take something also not allowed.If I go will get penalty $100??? I thing hotel management need take action about this.This is not acceptable as a hotel front desk staff like this.Even your hotel in a good location, price is cheaper, but service staff is like that, can’t have a good experience in holiday.

The room was quite mini, with a window facing an air shaft. The soundproofing was good, allowing for a quiet sleep. In a place like Singapore, you can't expect too much.
