"We stayed here for one night, and while the setting is undeniably beautiful with mountains and the river right in front, the overall experience did not live up to the high price tag — this was the most expensive hotel of our trip but not necessarily the best. To begin with, the Wi-Fi was down and only came back online about four hours after we checked in. This was particularly inconvenient given that mobile connectivity is practically non-existent in the area. The rooms (we stayed in the King Deluxe category) were clean but felt small, and unfortunately, there were workers stationed right in front of our rooms, which took away from the experience. The riverfront chalets looked much nicer, but they were already booked out by the time we made our reservation. Another downside was the number of flies — they were everywhere, including in the rooms and in the restaurant, which was quite annoying. One unique feature of the property is that they switch off all lights at 11 p.m. for star gazing, which is a wonderful idea and the night skies without light pollution were incredible to see. However, we were not informed of this beforehand and only found out when we called reception to report a power cut. This should be clearly displayed or explained to guests at check-in. On the positive side, the views really are stunning, and that’s the one big highlight of the stay. For a single night, it was okay, but overall it felt far too expensive for what we got. We much preferred their sister property, Rihla Hunza, which offered a far better experience."

"This was our first time visiting Skardu together and we absolutely enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was kind and quick to fix or make up for something. The location is especially convenient as it's at an almost walking distance from the airport. Moreover the layout of the space is exceptional, the cherry trees, local architecture influenced building and nice landscaping."

"We stayed 4 days and it was very good experience. First we had hot water issues but effectively resolved by a Manager name Syed Ishfaq. But for next time if there is no inverter inside the rooms for heating we won’t stay. In that climate it must be installed. Thanks to all staff for their courtesy and help."

"Lovely little guest house run by local family (Akhtar, his son and wife) having contemporary rooms in great pricing, beautiful garden and located in main Skardu. They are relatively new (probably their 4th or 5th year) but have put in great effort and it shows in almost everything. They are fully booked on most days during the season, so better to pre book (online or on phone) a good few days before coming. They offer home cooked local cuisine (on demand) and even pick for you complimentary cherries from their own cherry trees (mulberry as well but we didn't get to have it). Their garden is a lovely spot to sit and have dinner, breakfast, tea etc and even has a small farm (goats, chickens) at one end of it. Giving 5-star for the above, however a bit more focus on cleanliness of the 1st floor sitting/lounge area and tidying up/grass cutting in garden would make the experience even better."

"I went to stay at this hotel again after three years. They had upgraded some rooms compared to the previous one. I feel the best here. First of all, it is quiet here and their garden is spacious and you will get a good view. You can see all the mountains and skardu city from here. You can see the whole city. You will see the landing and take-off of the plane from here. It is not far from the city. It will take you ten minutes to get here from the city center. The rest of the basic facilities are there. They also have a kitchen. You will also get food from them."

"This hotel had no heat , dirty walls , torn up carpet , and a shower without any separation from the toilet . You could hear everything the neighbors said and it was down right difficult to sleep in . Needless to say it was a bit cringe . We can handle simple hotels , but cold and dirty hotels don’t work with western tourists . The breakfast buffet was simple and basic . Try another facility in Skardu if you want basic comforts ."
