Ivydene the place to stay
My husband and I stayed at the Ivydene with are two children from 8th-11th August, it's was such a lovely, welcoming place to stay.
The room was lovely and clean and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us.
The Breakfast choices were fantastic and there was something for everyone.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Perfect location for the beach and amenities.
We would highly recommend and definitely be booking again.

my family and i booked the ivydene for our annual visit to skegvegas, our party consisted of 6 in total , the check in was quick and easy by kitty ,my disabled brother was given a ground floor flat which was requested, the rest of us were allocated rooms on the 1st floor and the second floor (room 9) was ours ,however the 2 flights of narrow stairs we had to negotiate was tricky, the room was on the small side and as you were on the top floor you have to be aware of bumping your head the ceiling,the shower was a bit temperamental,if the weather is nice the room can get quite warm. the hotel has a bar which was opened after checking into our rooms , we were allowed to have a tab which was payable on our last morning (check the prices),you were given a form to fill out what you required for breakfast each day ,all extras were 50p per day per item ,this said the breakfast was very good ,be aware there is no parking at this hotel ,the ivydene is located about a 10 min walk to the funfair ,pier,and attractions, not sure i would stay here in the future due to the poor access to the rooms

We have stayed at the Ivydene before with the other owners and our experience this week with Claire and Kitty was exceptional.A very warm welcome and all the rooms we’re spotless.I am a big eater and the breakfast certainly fills you up.We were given directions to the local pharmacy when my wife was ill during the week,The beds are very comfy and we are returning at the end of August.Location is spot on with the town centre being only 2 minutes away.

Excellent Hotel,everything was 5* from the room,food the staff.The hotel is well maintained and nothing is to much trouble. If you like your food the portions are well above average,you won't go Hungry!,I also recommend the homemade soup absolutely lush. I would definitely go back and recommend anyone to try for themselves 💯👌👍.

Amazing homemade breakfast that could not have been any better , with a choice of cereal and toast . Amazing friendly welcoming hosts . Cozy and clean rooms . Close to the town , the beach and fair . Excellent location. Family run . Bathrooms were clean .

This is the worst guest house I have ever stayed in. We booked 2 family rooms for the Reggae Festival in Skegness for the Weekend. The owner Claire was rude and abrupt upon arrival. We had to pay to pay for the children at 45pp per night even tho children under 3 was free. We was also had issues at breakfast we recieved the wrong orders every day of the stay. The pork sausage was of poor quality, although plentiful it was disappointing. We late down one day and recieved dirty looks and bad service. We had booked this location for the close distance to the Reggae Festival which we attend every year. We like to access the rooms as and when we please hence booking a guest house with close proximity. This was a issue for the owner she text me at 9pm and asked us to be quiet when entering as we had woke her children- We wasn't even in!! We was also accused of leaving empty cans of alcohol at the entrance and this also wasn't us. TBH I would avoid at all costs! On the final day of our stay we had to exit the rooms by 11am. We was packed and out by 10.30 on returning to collect our luggage we was told we was not returning into the premises for our belongings. The owner claire then proceeds to scream and shout at us and physically attack one of our party. She threw our luggage threw the doors onto the road. All while kids was present in the guest house. It was appalling and we called the police. We paid £800 for a weekend for a terrible experience and physical attack and abuse from Claire AVOID

Breakfast was the best I have had for a long time
Only gripe would be we prefer a firmer matress but you can't have everything in life 😂
Will definitely book again as we are always in skegvegas

Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights, lovely little guest house, Claire and kitty were very welcomeing and friendly, room was beautifully clean and nice and warm on arrival, bed was super comfy, breakfast was lovely, 2 minutes walk to Skegness sea front, loved our stay we'll definitely be back
