Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection

HVAC woes. I was up in Snowmass on business and took my family along for a nice getaway. The hotel is nice, but a little dated to the mid 1990s. Upon arriving and checking in I was told the new property owners were upgrading the HVAC, so my room has fans. This should have been a reason to comp something, but they charged me full price for the room. The fans did not help in the 95 degree weather. At night I had to open windows to cool the room. The hotel had a wedding reception going on that had loud music till midnight that kept me awake. In addition there were wildfires going on that over powered the room.

Wonderful hotel with great access to the main restaurants and an easy hike up the mountain over to the gondola ~ 3.5 mile hike. Hotel had excellent health club. Fantastic staff throughout the hotel (lobby bar had perfect lunch and drink options along with nice repartee with staff while awaiting food), also a great breakfast downstairs. Was close to Gorsuch (hot chocolate = amazing!). Went to Slice of Italy, The stewpot and Il Poggio near by for dinner’s - outside (very good). Love skiing and will now consider staying here in winter given our summer experience (almost forgot about the very cool outdoor concert right outside of the hotel) at this perfectly located hotel ;-)

Elevator was out of order w no signs making it hard to get to our room.

AC didn’t work entire stay. Had to sleep with window open. Even changed rooms and same problem. Had to request room to be cleaned twice and even then they left dirty cups in the room.

Our room was large nicely appointed and comfortable. The service is the real issue at this hotel. They are understaffed and don't answer the phone most of the times. The majority of the staff do not seem happy to to provide customer service. When I checked out, they presented me with a bill that included room and taxes which I had already paid through *******. It seems very unorganized and like I said customer service is very poor.

Easy check.in, friendly staff! Rooms clean and very comfortable
