Penrhiw Priory

We were extremely impressed with Penrhiw Hotel. Booked to celebrate a big birthday in peace, it was perfect! The hotel is both historical yet stylishly modern. Simple, high quality decor with many extras provided. The room (Garden) has a super king four poster bed which was incredibly comfortable. The room had a seating are curtained off which was quirky and cosy. A fridge full of water, milk and a bottle of birthday Presecco was present, along with a coffe pod machine, kettle and teas &hot chocolate, and Aberffraw biscuits A charging station, radio and tv were also in the room. The bathroon was just as stylish and of the highest spec. This bathroom was fitted with a large walk-in shower. The ambience was peaceful, and the lack of staff was no bother at all, if anything it made it feel more homely. There were staff in the morning providing a buffet breakfast and hot drinks. This breakfast was of the highest quality, absolout perfection. They staff were polite and suble in their service adding to the relaxed ambience. We loved it so much and although we left today, are planning to retun as soon as we can.

This is the best place to stay in St Davids. You collect you room key from their sister hotel Twr y Felin (who do a fab afternoon tea) and they give you a map and info on where you are staying. It is easy to find and the room was spacious, clean, tea and coffee with shortbread and also a min fridge with milk and water bottles and even a proper coffee maker! you are surrounded by tree and woodland walks, with the Cathedral only 10 mins walk away. The cathedral is a lovely building, so much to see. St David's is a beautiful small city with many things to do from going on boat trips to Ramsey or Skomer Island or just wandering around the shops, cafes, and especially the hand made chocolate shop (who also sell ice cream) which is heaven!

Had a lovely stay here. Very comfortable room and the staff were very attentive. It’s just outside town so take their advice that it’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There were some lovely touches which made a real difference; free electric car charging, top up of bottled water (most days), vegan pastries at breakfast.

Fabulous stay. We've stayed at all three hotels a few times and it always delights us. It's peaceful, tastefully decorated and has beautiful gardens. The staff are so friendly and dinner at the sister hotel Twr Y Felin is superb. It's a great base to explore the fabulous countryside and coastline we have in spectacular West Wales

After 2 nights at Roch Castle we moved to the lovely Penrhiw Priory and the standard of accommodation matched the castle We were on our own as the location is not staffed in the evening and there were no other guests. A few doors wierdly opening made the night a little more interesting and enjoyable especially as it is around Halloween but we were assured that there is a member of staff that is around on occasion but we didn't see anyone so I prefer to think we were "not alone" The breakfast was brilliant and this was provided by staff who arrived about 8am

We loved this place. Idyllic retreat a few minutes walk from town. Excellent continental breakfast, honesty bar, and lovely staff. It isn't staffed after midday but has everything you need. The quality of the room and facilities were outstanding 🤠
