Hotel Sorrento

Excellent dinner with 2 young children. Low Gluten chicken steak was delicious and a generous serve. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Wait staff were very attentive and provided colouring in. Children's meal was enough for 2x children under 4 years.

Stayed a couple of nights in this beautifully renovated hotel, We were in room 8, which came with an awesome balcony with really nice ocean views. Bed and pillows were super comfy, and everything in the room worked and was well presented. Bathroom well appointed, and the showerhead was awesome. Our only negative would be that the bathroom is quite small. No other issues at all! Yummy breakfast and coffee. Pool area looked fantastic (but we did not use).

Loved our 2 night stay. We stayed just before the holiday crowds descended. Stayed at the poolside room. Complimentary brekky was delicious - and waited by the loveliest staff. Room was clean and new. Wifi was a bit slow but not a deal breaker. Location was perfect as you can walk to the beach and the shops. We are already planning for our next trip back.

The service at Hotel Sorrento for a dining experience was the best on the Peninsula. We ate all over, Portsea, the Conti etc and this by far exceeded the other 'pub' experiences in terms of service. Third time we've been and exceeded expectations every time.

The restaurant was amazing. We ate dinner there on our last evening and what an experience. From the minute we were greeted by our host until we settled the bill we had a ball. The menu allowed for a variety of options and our waitperson, Tara , was a wonderful addition with her knowledge of the menu and wine list. We are definitely eating there when we are next in the region. Do yourself a favour and try it for yourself

Beautiful hotel, clean, airy and light. Lovely views, smells nice! Lovely dining areas, was busy the night we ate here. Bistro type. Not a lot of gluten free options. Full bar. Surcharge on c/card payments. We stayed at the hotel overnight, which was expensive.

Good food (had the fish n chips) and nice cold beer with a nice view. Very friendly service, especially compared to the place were we tried to get served before. Highly recommended! If I am ever in these parts again I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Was greeted very well . Had made a booking 48 Hrs before , was sat at a table that was in Direct sunlight and was not stable as it was wonkey. We were moved ! Water glasses were dirty so chose not to Drink Out of them. Ordered our food 2 parmigiana and one snitzel and one blue steak Food was below average for the prices we payed . Witnessed a table next to us where the customer had moved his food to accommodate the others at the table For more room The glass was smashed and the waitress offered the patron another meal he declined !!! May have been embarrassed I don’t know but waitress was not forth coming with hey I will get you another ! OH and safety was not in place . Very disappointed in the good and service . More like a very poor pub meal but prices and servings not up to standard . Saw George colinbaris behind the counter wanted to say hey this great bit food and service was not up to standard

I visited the Sorrento for 3 seperate nights over the weekend of austrlais day and the service was absolutely awful. Having worked in hospitality myself for over a decade and managed for 2 years it was the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I never leave reviews but mine and my friends experiences were so bad I thought I had to write one. All the servers we had were rude and would rather serve their friends and the hot girls than any of us. It felt like you were a ghost and they didn't even see you standing at the bar unless you called out for them which is not how it should be. Even when we were given the wrong drinks from what we asked for the server told us "I don't care" and refused to give us what we actually asked for. Of the casual bar staff I don't have a single nice word to say about them which over a three night visit is really appalling. Of the management team they were attentive to the issues and nice but didn't do a single thing about it which again is dissapointing. As a manager myself if I get told by a customer that they aren't enjoying their time at my venue I do my best to change they way they feel.... These guys, did nothing to help. Even on Australia day (with public holiday rates) they had so many staff that the bar staff were standing around talking to each other instead of serving, they had more staff behind the bar than customers waiting to be served at the bar and yet they still somehow made people wait. For such a beautiful venue with an unreal location the service was absolutely awful, do yourself a favour and go to the Portsea instead, we had a way better time their and all the staff were really lovely to us!
