Well where do I begin!! Another fantastic holiday at the Royal Kenz. We've been coming here for 19 years. A lot of the staff still here. Food was brilliant as usual. Weather fantastic. There are people coming to this hotel who moan every day about something. What kind of food they eat at home makes me wonder. Probably chips and more chips. The staff at this hotel go out of their way to please everyone, from kitchen, room service, reception, waiter's, animation, front of house, even down to security. Thank you Royal Kenz for yet another fantastic holiday.

Excellent yet again staff /house keeping floor 3 flower ( housekeeper) she’s amazing ..TUI rep Sara she is 1 of the hardest working reps I’ve ever seen .. she needs a medal after what we saw her having to cope with …I’ve been 5 times & my friend 9 times to this hotel .. they looked after us as they know us … very friendly always smiling.. they is a little down side this time round to many kids from other continents who were a bit out of hand as I’d say. !! & some of the other continents what we’re there were very rude … pushing & shoving in the main restaurant I was on crutches & my friend was with a walking stick ..they had not 1 polite manner in them so in the end we said carnt beat them join them push & shove back … the staff in the restaurant were so busy .. the amount of food what was left on plates etc I’ve seen it all now … piled high they were .. breakfast is basic the omelette station was the best .. it was piping hot … always go for the 6.30pm sitting as the food is a bit hotter .. 8pm the vultures eat literally ..very short on sugar free drinks … & the beer glasses I sent a few back what were chipped .. it was an iberostar a few years ago it’s not now .. the pool well .. the other continents put their towels down on top of your towels cheeky Feckers !!! Soon removed & changed the towels !!! Entertainment team 10/10 they need praised for what they do … you have to pay for drinks in the American bar .. but if a rip of really not much alcohol in drinks unless we asked to put more in .. the toilets were bad this time round what I saw I won’t write but they sorted it .. don’t go august or through September… it’s heaving … still lots to do & always barter any questions plz message me vonnie elliott on Fbook & I can tell you more I’ve put a few pics in so you can see …

This is our second time coming to this hotel now and we were so happy to be coming back. We love everything about the hotel. The rooms are light, airy and have everything you need. They are cleaned daily. The beach is a short walk from the hotel and is stunning with bright blue sea and white sand as far as you can see. The hotel is beautiful, lovely decor and the facilities are great. The pool area is clean and has lots of beds and shade for those who need it, the pools are delightful after a spell in the sun. Food is excellent and there is a great choice at every meal time, with lots of themed nights. The kitchen staff are attentive and will freshly cook different dishes for you. The spa is stunning and the treatments are incredibly affordable unlike in the uk. I had two mornings there and a selection of treatments, all of which were just perfect. Lastly the staff. They make the holiday. They are the best of anywhere I have ever stayed. The service at the bar and restaurant is second to none and they are so attentive. They remember you and know what you like. Special mention to Habib on the bar, Nabil and Sophiene in the restaurant and Maddy with the other entertainment staff. They make you feel so welcome and really make your stay here even better. Thank you for our second amazing holiday, we are sad to be going home and can’t wait to come back.

Our stay at this hotel lasted a week, and to be honest, I believe the 4.5 out of 5 rating on the tripadvisor website is deceiving. The room we were given was on the smaller side, and disappointingly, the room's fridge was completely empty, not even a single bottle of water. There was no poolside bar available. If you wanted a drink, you had to trek back to the hotel lobby. Furthermore, the hotel was not beachfront; we had to walk down an alley to access the beach, where even a glass of water was hard to come by. On the bright side, the cleaning staff were efficient, and the food served was of good quality. While the staff were pleasant, there were some nonsensical rules and limitations in place, such as being charged for the steam room and being restricted to only using the indoor pool twice a day for an hour each time. This seemed unnecessary, especially considering the pool was rarely occupied. In conclusion: Would we return to Tunisia? Absolutely. Would we choose this hotel again? Definitely not.

The hotel is in a good location to visit Sousse (approx 20 mins in a taxi but don't pay more than 15 dinar) and Port El Kantaoui (approx 10 mins by taxi but don't pay more than 7 dinar). Set your taxi fare before getting in. There is not a lot outside of the hotel, the area is a bit run down. There's a few small shops/bazaars (cafes were closed due to Ramadan). Access to the private beach area (Platinum beach) is to the right of the 2nd pool, through a metal gate that is manned by security, and a 5 min walk. There is a staff member at the beach bar to provide you with sunbed mattresses. Beach towels are provided for a returnable deposit of 20 dinar (keep receipt). When we were asking where to get them we got roped into a 20 minute tour of the spa. It does offer many treatments but of course there's a sale ploy, "on the price list its this price but we will give you a discount" Want a ride on a camel and horses then see the lovely Joseph near the pool. It was £20 each for a morning of camel riding, coffee shop stop and watching a local lady cooking Tunisian bread which you can try with her own chilli and tomato dip. Only disappointment was no horses due to them being needed elsewhere but Joseph kindly asked a colleague to fetch a horse the next day and he took me horse riding along the beach. Brilliant experience though and would highly recommend. Hotel itself was lovely although in need of a bit of a spruce up but our room was clean and comfortable. Maid came every day. Small fridge, safe, tea & coffee tray, the usual mini toiletries and bottled water all provided. The bed was comfortable but pillows a bit lumpy. Both pools and the surrounding areas were very clean with plenty of sunbeds. There are waiters that will bring you drinks around the pool. I'm not one to expect to be waited on as a rule but one particular waiter either had a short memory or couldn't be bothered as myself and another elderly guest asked for some drinks but still no sign of him after half an hour. 3 separate occasions, no drinks, same waiter - no tip! Note: the hotel was not busy as it was out of season. Restaurant was lovely with different food theme nights. Food was nice enough with lots of choice, although a little repetitive but that's usual for all-inclusive in my experience. Microwave available! Restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. Special mention to Nabil who has been there for 29 years. Had the a la carte meal one night which was ok, you can book this with guest services. Two criticisms 1. Having arrived at the hotel by 12pm we had to wait nearly two hours to access our room. 2. Failure of hotel & security staff to deal with an alcohol fuelled disruptive family who were either swearing or shouting at all times of the day and night.

Wonderful staff make this hotel special.Everyone from reception to the gardeners were so pleasant and helpful, every day, not just an odd time. The food was very good, lots of choice and beautifully presented and any requests were met with a smile. I will definitely return, my last visit was in 2011 before it became all inclusive, but I won’t wait so long to visit again. The spa was lovely and I used the indoor pool as it was too cold for me outdoors( this was in March) and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The animation team are friendly and cheerful even to a non”joiner” like me!

When looking for some sunshine in March we discovered The Royal Kenz Hotel which appeared to tick all the boxes. We were delighted with our choice. The accommodation was above our expectations, we requested a quiet room and we were pleased to be on a high floor with no excess noise. It was mentioned on an earlier review that there was some modernisation being carried out that was noisy. We were never affected by any building work or noise anywhere in or around the hotel. The restaurant served a huge variety of food and find it impossible for someone to complain about it. There was so much choice at all meal times bearing in mind the total cost of the holiday we believe it was fantastic value. The drinks were perfectly acceptable. The Coca Cola and other mixers were brands we would expect in any bar at home. A special thanks to Sassi who made me a number of sugar free delicious cocktails. The other bar staff always remembered I needed sugar free drinks. The entertainment staff were always engaging people to have fun and they were highly spoken about from the guests. We personally chose not to get involved but there was always a chirpy hello whenever they bumped into us. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff at reception were always helpful and the money exchange was very easy. No need to use the ATM which was located next to reception. We used the Spa and had 3 lovely long sessions of approx 2 1/2 hours over the week at a very reasonable rate. Such a treat. Some of the facilities at the beach were still closed but I expect they will soon be open when the beach weather improves. We had plenty of warm sunshine which for us was perfect. There were lots of sun beds both on the private area of beach and throughout the well maintained gardens. There were lots of different seating areas in the shade if needed. All in all I would say it was a very good holidays and above what we expected.
