The Palace Hotel

Friendly staff, Lisa was very helpful. It was my birthday & she put a candle on my delicious home made sticky date dessert. The room was clean,ok size & bed comfortable . Ensuitte was clean & shower hot. Good value for money. Hotel rooms are at the back of pub facing the pub so no road noice

What a gem! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The decor is clean and looks fresh but retains it's old charm. The staff were attentive and I felt they were genuine in their concern that I was satisfied without being invasive. But this is what seperates a good experience from a great one. I was complimenting the owner/manager on how nice it was finding such good food and how nice the pub looked. Liz then told me if I was driving through Southern Cross and was going to be there after the kitchen closed, I could ring ahead and order a meal that they would save for me. That is customer service above and beyond what you could reasonably expect. Don't drive past without at least calling in for a beer and a yarn with the staff.
