"Choosing Media Hotel for my Hangzhou trip this time was definitely the right decision!
**Unbeatable Location:** The hotel is right next to in77, super close to West Lake. It's just a five-minute walk to Hubin Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly convenient to stroll back after catching the musical fountain show in the evening. Both bus and subway stations are nearby, so there's no need to take a long detour to visit attractions like Lingyin Temple and Longjing Village. This was a huge plus for us travelers with luggage.
**Comfortable Rooms:** The room was incredibly comfortable. We booked a 'Selected Twin Room,' but the hotel kindly upgraded us to a 'Deluxe Twin Room.' Waking up to the sunlight streaming in after drawing the curtains in the morning was absolutely delightful. While not overly spacious, the room was spotless and well-maintained. The bedding had just the right level of firmness, and after two nights, I felt perfectly rested. The shower water heated up quickly and the water pressure was excellent – something I truly appreciate when staying away from home.
**Thoughtful Service:** The service was incredibly thoughtful. The front desk staff proactively offered maps and suggested less-traveled routes, which was a refreshing change from hotels that just give vague directions. When I forgot my charger, room service promptly delivered one to my room without even asking for a deposit – it made me feel really cared for. While the breakfast selection wasn't spectacular, it did offer local specialties like Pian'er Chuan noodles and Dingsheng pastry, which was a nice opportunity to try some local flavors.
The only minor drawback might be that it's an older building, so the elevators occasionally required a short wait. However, the overall value for money is excellent, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou."
